Crafting stories that resonate with any audience is a key to great public speaking. Whatβs your go-to method for adjusting your message to different groups?
Batman is definitely my favorite, and not just because he's a billionaire and gets to drive a cool motorcycle! It's because he is the epitome of resilience. He turned his greatest trauma into his driving force. No super powers needed, just sheer determination, resourcefulness and relentless drive to make a Gotham a better place. And let's be honest, who wouldn't want a Bat Cave! π
The harder the conflict. The more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap. We esteem too lightly. βItβs dearness only that gives everything its value. β Thomas Paine.
Thereβs only two people you need to make proud. The 8 year old version of you. Seeing the person you have become. And the 80 year old version of you. Reflecting on a life lived on your terms. A life well lived.
Micheal, you have so much to give the world. Everytime I hear you speak or read what you write it really makes me think. I often times think about what the 80 year old version of me would want me TODAY to do. But could you please elaborate on making the 8 year old version of yourself proud. I feel we often times lose sight of our dreams in the past, maybe we feel like we've "out-grown" them. But I often wonder if the my 8 year old self would be proud of the person I am today. Thank you
