Amino Tuesday!
🚗 Let's talk about one of the most misunderstood amino acids... L-Carnitine. If you've spent any time in the health and wellness space, you've probably heard someone call L-carnitine a "fat burner." That's... not exactly how it works. Think of L-carnitine as a transport system. Its job is to help move fatty acids into your cells' "power plants" (the mitochondria), where they can be used to produce energy. It doesn't magically melt body fat. It doesn't replace a healthy diet. It doesn't make exercise unnecessary. What it can do is support your body's natural ability to use fat for energy, especially when paired with healthy habits. Some people also report benefits like: ✔️ Improved exercise performance ✔️ Better recovery ✔️ Increased energy ✔️ Support for overall metabolic health Like anything else, it's not the right fit for everyone, and the research varies depending on the person, the reason it's being used, and the form of L-carnitine. That's why education matters. Understanding what something does is far more valuable than believing what social media says it does. Have you ever tried L-carnitine, or is it something you've been curious about? 👇 Let me know your questions, and I'll do my best to answer th

I hope you're doing well. I wanted to get your thoughts on something before I make any decisions. I'm considering trying Tesamorelin and wanted to see what you think. You've been helpful with peptide questions in the past, so I figured I'd ask before moving forward. For some background, I'm a 25-year-old male. My recent labs showed: Total testosterone: ~390 ng/dL Free testosterone: ~50 pg/mL LH: Low I've always tended to run on the lower end of the normal testosterone range. Lifestyle-wise, I feel like I'm doing most things right: Strength train 3x per week (murph) Average about 10,000 steps per day Sleep fairly well Stay in a calorie budget Around 13% body fat Take vitamin D3/K2, magnesium, boron, and zinc consistently Overall, my body composition is good, but I'd really like to improve my libido and hopefully increase my testosterone naturally if possible. I'd prefer to avoid testosterone replacement therapy, SARMs, or anything that could significantly suppress my natural production. In the past I tried Kisspeptin without noticing much benefit. Sermorelin seemed to help somewhat, but I don't really want to stay on that long-term. My questions are: Do you think Tesamorelin is a reasonable option in my situation? What effects, risks, or downsides should I be aware of? Could it realistically have any positive effect on testosterone, libido, or overall well-being, or is it mainly useful for reducing visceral fat? Are there any other peptides or treatments you think would make more sense for someone with my lab values and goals? I'd really appreciate your opinion before I decide to try anything. Thanks again for all your help.

Hey Grant, thanks for taking the time to share all of that. It definitely helps paint a clearer picture. Based on what you’ve shared, I personally wouldn’t make Tesamorelin my first choice if your primary goals are improving testosterone and libido. Tesamorelin is a growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) analog, and it’s primarily known for increasing growth hormone and IGF-1. It has the strongest evidence for reducing visceral (deep abdominal) fat, but I wouldn’t expect it to consistently or significantly increase testosterone or libido on its own. What stands out to me more is your low LH. Since LH helps signal your testes to produce testosterone, I’d be more interested in understanding why it’s low before jumping to another peptide. Getting to the root cause is usually more valuable than trying different compounds and hoping one is the answer. I always want this community to be a place where people can ask questions without feeling judged. I’m more than happy to share what the current evidence suggests and offer recommendations when I think they’re appropriate. But I also think it’s just as important to say when I don’t think a peptide is the right recommendation. Sometimes the best next step is getting more information rather than adding another peptide. I have seen people report benefits from peptides like MOTS-C for things like energy, metabolic health, and overall well-being, but based on what you’ve shared here, I don’t think there’s enough information to confidently say that—or any other peptide—is the right fit for your specific situation. I hope that helps, and I appreciate you asking before making a decision.

Can we talk about something that has nothing to do with peps….. but everything to do with getting healthier? One conversation keeps coming up with people I've helped over the last few years. Not about side effects. Not about weight loss. Not about dosing. Their relationship. I've had both men and women tell me they hide their progress because their spouse gets upset. Others say their partner has no interest in getting healthier with them. Some feel guilty for becoming more confident. Others just wish they had someone to share the journey with. It honestly breaks my heart every time I hear it. I know I'm incredibly fortunate. My boyfriend has been my biggest supporter. We encourage each other, work out together, and celebrate each other's wins. I don't take that for granted because I know not everyone has that kind of support. Getting healthier doesn't just change your body. It can change your confidence, your routines, your mindset, and sometimes even the relationships around you. If you're on that journey, I hope you have someone cheering you on. And if you don't, know that your decision to improve your health still matters. I'm curious... has your health journey strengthened your relationship, challenged it, or has your partner jumped in right alongside you? I'd genuinely love to hear your story.

I’ve had quite a few conversations lately around stacking Retatrutide + Tesamorelin and realized there’s a lot of confusion, unrealistic expectations, and conflicting information floating around online right now. So I decided to put together a deeper educational guide covering: - what each compound actually is - why people discuss stacking them - realistic expectations - visceral fat clarification - side effects - common misunderstandings - foundational habits that still matter Still keeping everything in simple human terms and without the hype. I’ll continue keeping broad educational peptide breakdowns here inside the community, but I also wanted to start creating deeper organized resources around some of the more commonly asked topics. If anyone wants the link, just DM me or comment below.

I’ve been thinking about this for a bit… There’s a lot of information out there about peptides—but not much that actually helps you understand what you’re looking at when it comes to sourcing correctly and confirming legit companies. You’ll see things like: COA’s “99% purity” lab reports people online giving confident answers without really explaining anything …and it all sounds convincing. But when you actually try to make a decision, it’s still confusing. I get asked about this pretty often, so I’m considering putting together something where I break it all down in simple, normal terms: • how to actually evaluate what you’re seeing • what should raise questions • what actually matters vs what just sounds good No fluff. No overcomplication. Just clear understanding so you’re not guessing or relying on someone else’s opinion. I’m not launching anything yet—just seeing if it’s something people would want. If it is, comment or message me “TRUTH”
