Just closed a junk removal business in DFW — $500 setup + $275/mo retainer. Two calls and one Google Meet. 💰
Here's the play so you can run it too: Call 1: He tells me his problems. Paying $130/mo for booking software that doesn't even include a website. Customers getting redirected off-site to book. No payment processor. Running everything from his phone. I didn't pitch features — I just listened and repeated his problems back to him. That night: Built the entire thing. Website, booking calendar embedded right on the page (no redirects — his #1 complaint), intake form with photo uploads so he can quote jobs before rolling a truck, payment-ready. The Google Meet: I didn't send screenshots. I shared my screen and booked a fake appointment on his own website LIVE in front of him. Watched the lead pop into the CRM with the name, address, and photos. Then I showed him the review generator — automated text after every paid job, 4 stars or less gets a feedback loop instead of a public review. He stopped me and said "send me the payment link." I never had to sell. The close: $500 setup + $275/mo retainer. He CANCELED his old software on the spot. Then he asked me to build the same review system for his SECOND business — and he's got a real estate website teed up for me next. Three lessons: 1️⃣ Speed IS the offer. I delivered overnight what his last two guys couldn't deliver in months. He literally told me that's why he called. 2️⃣ Demo > pitch deck. Booking a fake job on HIS website in front of him did all the selling. Show, don't tell. 3️⃣ The retainer is where the business is. The $500 is nice. The $275/mo forever — managing automations and sending a monthly report — is the actual business. One client like this a week is a $1,100+/mo raise. Every week. This is the exact model I teach inside here. Websites + automations for boring local businesses that print money. Junk removal, cleaning, contractors — they all need this and nobody's serving them.
