@Sky W working on building a community for Diecast collectors. For those not familiar with diecast, they're Hot Wheels and Matchbox toy cars and vehicles that people collect for a hobby. It's a global phenomenon, with an estimated 2 million active diecast collectors and growing. Adult collectors and nostalgic buyers drive this growth. I collect diecast for fun and get to meet a lot of great people irl and online. I learn a lot from those interactions, but I also notice how many collectors really don't know what they're doing. When I started collecting, there was, and still is, no central place that teaches all the stuff that I had to learn by piecing scattered things together like a mad detective. These may be toys, but there is so much more to it. From hunting down hard-to-find releases to navigating a thriving aftermarket where $1 cars are bought and sold for hundreds, there’s a whole world behind the hobby. I want to build a Skool community so new and old collectors can come together to have some fun and learn a thing or two that will make their hobby more rewarding, more connected, and a whole lot more enjoyable.
