Wall Facing vs "regular" Strict HSPU capacity
Hello everyone! Francesco here, just wanted to share a question that's been bugging me lately. Why are some people better at wall-facing compared to normal Strict HSPU, and why are some people the exact opposite? I myself am more in the second group and can feel a big difference between how many reps I can handle (both unbroken, when fresh, and in a mixed-modal setting) in the two movements. In your experience, is it more a biomechanics problem? with forearm/arm length involved, or is it a muscular thing? like people with stronger upper pecs and pecs in general can use that more on the wall-facing variation... Not sure this is super relevant to overall performance, but it'd like at least to have an idea for what to look for. Thanks!

Makes sense! They for sure go away quicker than regular SHSPU So in your opinion some people find one harder vs. the other because of their muscle strengths/weaknesses? e.g., my chest, especially uper pecs, is pretty weak, compared to my shoulders, therefore I struggle more in a wall facing position? would that be a good reasoning, in your opinion?
26.1 Strategy Guide
Hey everyone - just wanted to share the 26.1 Strategy Guide I created, feel free to use this with your athletes or share with your gym communities. Coaches - if you have feedback or sections you disagree with I'd LOVE to have some dialogue here. I've been creating these now since the 2017 Open, but never really got a chance to get critical feedback on what goes into them.
