@Michael Bean I mirror this. I would also choose these 2 aspects but I wouldn't rule out others such as employment possibilities in the work, working groups, and downloadable resources. Really, everything is helpful but from my experience being a part of several different communities what has been lacking for me has been the ability to meet others in my region that understand the dynamics of the places I am doing this work in (Tulum/Riviera Maya in Mexico, Samana Peninsula in Dominican Republic as the priority, but essentially LATAM&C. Essentially, it is difficult to relate to others that do not understand the limitations and challenges in my places I am trying to catalyze this work in. Also, I am seeking friends in the work that I can partner with to get projects going in these places. I have found that although all the communities I am a part of are amazing and a source of life for me, it's hard to get tangible projects I can get involved with as there are not yet many others in the work in these places, and the few that do exist are focused on their life and local initiatives and nor really a part of the larger global communities I am a part of that are truly moving the needle. So I guess for me, the most important is friends in the work that have the potential of becoming team members is a big part of what I seek, from all my communities. ππ«Άπ
