🧠 Guarding Your Mind: The Battlefield of Thoughts
Your mind is a battlefield. Every day, thoughts compete for your attention—some uplifting, some distracting, and some that quietly pull you away from peace, purpose, and truth. What we allow to stay in our minds eventually shapes our actions, attitudes, and direction in life. ✨ A few reminders: Not every thought deserves your agreement. Just because a thought appears doesn’t mean it’s true. Guarding your mind is an act of self-discipline and faith. When negative, fearful, or limiting thoughts arise, pause and ask: 👉 Is this thought helping me grow? 👉 Is it aligned with truth and purpose? Replace what drains you with what strengthens you—gratitude, prayer, focus, and intentional thinking. 💬 Reflection Question: What’s one thought pattern you need to guard against this week, and what will you replace it with? Drop your thoughts below 👇 Let’s grow together.

I feel that I need to be ready for attacks from the devil at all times. Which means I am replacing it with songs of worship, keep reading my Bible. I need to stay involved with church outreach programs. I need friends who are liked minded.
✨ Advent Begins: Hope in Waiting
As Advent begins, we enter a season of hopeful anticipation — a time to slow down, reflect, and remember that God often works in the waiting. Advent isn’t just about counting down days; it’s about preparing our hearts for the One who came and is still coming. Here are a few reminders as we enter this season: 1. Waiting has purpose. Even when we don’t see movement, God is shaping things behind the scenes. 2. Hope anchors the heart. Advent reminds us that our hope is not in circumstances, but in Christ. 3. Small moments matter. Quiet prayers, simple reflections, and acts of kindness draw us closer to Him. 4. Light shines brightest in the dark. Advent is a celebration of the Light entering the world — and our lives. 5. Prepare with expectation. Open your heart to what God wants to reveal in this season. As Advent begins, may hope rise in your heart and carry you through the days ahead. 💜✨ What are you hoping for in this season of waiting?

We are praying for a Christmas Miracle, praying for our 18 year old grandson will seek treatment for his drug addiction. It's been 4 years of drugs, homelessness, death. In the Name of Jesus I declare we are truly breaking Generational curses that has plagued our life for too many years. God is still writing our story and I am praying for a chapter. Learning that no matter what I do, I can't control anything, without God and the blood of Jesus that runs through my soul. But I can plead the blood of Jesus over our family, Thank you for your promise, that we will be whole again. I believe God!! Continue to draw me closer and rest in You're peace.
🍞 Bless the Hungry Weekend
This weekend is a beautiful opportunity to extend kindness beyond our own homes and bless those who are in need. Even the smallest act of generosity can make a big difference in someone’s life. Here are a few meaningful ways to “bless the hungry” this weekend: 1. Donate food locally. Drop off canned goods or essentials at a nearby food pantry or community center. 2. Support a family in need. If you know someone struggling, a simple grocery bag or meal can bring hope. 3. Prepare a meal to share. Cooking an extra dish and delivering it to someone who needs encouragement can brighten their weekend. 4. Offer your time. Volunteering at a soup kitchen or community outreach program can make an immediate impact. 5. Pray for those facing hunger. Lift up individuals and families who are struggling — prayer is powerful and needed. Let’s come together and make this weekend one of compassion, generosity, and love. ❤️ How will you choose to bless someone today?

Our church was able to bless 140 house holds this year at our annual Thanksgiving ministry. They received, veggies, corn bread mix, stuffing, brownies, mac and cheese, gravy packets, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, 5 lb bag of potatoes, turkey, oil, butter, egss and 🥧 pie. I'm so thankful to be a part of this many. By the Grace of God and contributions it was the biggest outreach God provided. We didn't have to turn anyone away this year. Praise God 🙌.

We know how powerful worship can be—those moments when lyrics hit deeper than expected, when melodies become prayers, and when a simple song turns into a personal altar between you and God. 🙌 Worship isn’t just music. No survivors, by Jeremy Camp. One by one I have laid everything at the feet of Jesus. AND I will continue to pray for God's healing in our lives, and I will leave no stone unturned to lay my burdens down and I will not leave anyone or anything out, no survivors from my prayers. My favorite quote is " can't, but I know man who can".
🌧️ When the Skies Feel Gloomy
Some days just feel heavy. The sky is gray, the light feels hidden, and everything around us seems to mirror that mood. But here’s the hope: gloomy skies don’t last forever. ☀️Behind the clouds, the sun is still shining. And in our lives, behind the heaviness, God is still working. “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” – Psalm 30:5 💬 Today: On a gloomy day, how do you remind yourself that brighter skies are coming? - Do you pray or open the Word? - Do you listen to worship music that lifts your spirit? - Do you simply pause and breathe in gratitude for what God is doing? Let’s share encouragement with each other today. Your reminder might be exactly what someone else needs when their own skies feel gray. ✨ Remember: Clouds may hide the light for a moment, but they can never extinguish it. God’s promises are always shining. 👇 Drop your reflection below and let’s lift one another up today!

@Alisa Fitzpatrick I also listen to worship music 🎶 no matter where or what I am doing. I also have several ladies who I can contact, (we have a group chat) which makes it easier to reach out for emergencies too. But music and direct conversations with Jesus no matter what its about. Sing at the top of my lungs if need be, BUT I will continue to be thankful for where we are today, and its not perfect but its perfect for us.
