10/16 Reflections
It's been a rollercoaster of emotions this week. This morning, I was so overwhelmed that all I could do was cry. I don't like getting to that place because it reminds me of my mom and aunts being in heaven. It also takes me back to being a little girl, crying while the people who were physically present were emotionally absent. No one was there to console me. I've been here before, but this time, something was different. I knew not to let the pressure of my emotions dictate the words coming out of my mouth. I refused to speak out of frustration, loneliness, and the hopelessness trying to overtake me. All I could whisper was, "Jesus, Jesus, help me. I need help." Within a minute, I wiped my tears and remembered something powerful: I am the same girl who made it through every one of those moments. And suddenly, I owned my resilience. Sometimes, the victory isn't in never feeling overwhelmed. It's in recognizing who you are in the middle of it and refusing to let a moment of pain define you. I am no longer that little girl without comfort. I know where my help comes from, and I am learning to respond from that place. Scripture: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1 (KJV) Reflective Question: When overwhelming emotions rise, do you allow them to dictate your words and define your identity, or do you remember who you are and where your help comes from?

This sounds so skillful...learning to really take refuge in God. We're so blessed to have a true refuge.🙏...and to get our nervous systems regulated. I've been exploring the somatic practice of feeling into where the body feels the most support and letting my brain track that this is Divine support here now for me...I've also imagined Jesus just being near and waiting with me... just letting me slow down my breathing, feeling my body support here and now...imagining him interested in me and listening. And my nervous system relaxes and I start to feel safe and loved. I love this idea that we are created by the Divine and we are equipped to feel the feelz ... and the Divine supports us and we are to let it pass and carry on. Like a gazel that goes back to eating grass after a big chase from a lion. My son is currently working with a Christian somatic therapist and he's beginning to process and integrate trauma...he's beginning to feel that Divine support and run the "un-held experiences" back through the parasympathetic nervous system for integration. She calls this the "unheld Holy Shit " ...a "sacred story that needs the light and love of Christ. These experiences, some we're conscious of and others, maybe we're not are stored in us and holding us back and it just wants and needs to "come home" to Christ. This therapist had 2 near death experiences and Jesus showed her how to help people process the difficult emotions and trauma that get stuck in the tissues. He told her this is how we are design, and we can learn to handle more. Seems like scripture is clear that God cares about our nervous systems and how we're bearing up under the load of life. Thank you for sharing Shaamya!!🤗🙏💕 May everyone find true refuge. May all release their sacred Holy shit to the power of God.... where all things are made new. where all of His children are free and held.

Scriptural references for this video: Inspired by @Amber Potter Daniel 10:12 "Then said he unto me, “Fear not, Daniel, for FROM THE FIRST DAY that thou didst set thine heart to understand and to chasten thyself before thy God, THEY WORDS WERE HEARD; and I HAVE COME FOR THY WORDS." Daniel 10:13 is (explaining how the angel and demon were fighting over that prayer from Daniel) "However, the prince of the kingdom of Persia resisted me for 21 days, but behold Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me because I had been detained there with the kings of Persia. Marks accounts of Jesus speaking to the fig tree 11:14" Then HE SAID to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard him say it." Mark 11:20 "20 In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. 21 Peter remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!” 22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “Truly[d] I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. NOTE:(IT IS YOURS THE MOMENT YOU PRAY, NOT WHEN IT HAS FULLY MANIFESTED IN THE NATURAL) 25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” Matthews account 21"Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” IMEDIATLEY the tree withered. Matthew expressed that it died immediately even though they didn't notice it fully dried up until the next day....

A POWERFUL REALIZATION.
This video, is one of the best illustrations of "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger," that I've seen. James 1: 2-4 "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing."
