My Last Two Weeks in Art
Summarised, it's pretty much productive procrastination. So I decided to complete torso gestures in Chris' free figure drawing course. And I struggled like crazy to draw the torsos in the timed poses video. So like every procrastinating artist does, I magically remembered I had other topics I wanted to practice and decided to focus on them for a while. I have a digital copy of 'The New Drawing On The Right Side of The Brain' by Betty Edwards, so I began working through a few pages, read some interesting information on how the brain works and its relation to art, drew a pretty decent self-portrait, my right hand and a copy of the optical-illusion drawing 'Vase/Faces'. I mostly repeated drawing exercises, started a "Learn to draw in 30 days challenge" by Marc Brunet, one of my favourite art teachers for stylized work (currently on day 6) and decided to observe how much I progressed in the last two months by drawing an original character and comparing it with one I drew in August (really surprised me). Eventually I returned to complete the timed poses video and did much better than before. Overall, art practice really made this holiday more enjoyable. I've finally got my art education organised and began to practice consistently even if it was only short drawing exercises. School will reopen next week, but I at least have a consistency plan now. Tldr; I had a great two weeks.

@Chris Legaspi Thank you
What are your favorite online figure-drawing resources?
Hello all, I’m a self-taught beginner with no local life-drawing sessions or teaching available. I’ve been learning from books and Youtube, but thought I’d ask if anyone had any recommendations for online resources. Live courses/workshops are challenging given my work schedule and time zone, but I could do a course that meets on weekends. Thanks in advance for your recs!

As someone in a similar situation, I can empathise. Here are my resource recommendations. Youtube Channels: Draw with Chris (Chris' Channel) New Masters Academy S. Michael Hampton Richard Smitheman Love Life Drawing FORCE with Michael Mattesi Proko Alphonso Dunn Winged Canvas Reference sites: Line of Action Posemaniacs Character design . com Adorkastock Sketchdaily Quickposes Online Courses: (Haven't tried one, except Chris' free one, but they are well-received and have consistently good results) Chris' Figure Drawing Course on this website New Masters Academy Steve Huston Proko Hope this helps. I mainly draw stylised so this is the best I could recommend.
Finally, some proper drawing time
Yeesh, so I've pretty much spent the last month or two dealing with exams and projects. I was basically doing drawing exercises this entire time. I did manage to do lesson 2 and 3 though. Also got distracted trying to learn how go draw hands, which turned out pretty well. But finally holidays begin in 2 days and I've had an annoying itch to do some serious art practice for the last month. Just 2 more days. Here is anything I deemed notable practice from this time period, except the drawing exercises of course.

@Marv Z It's a bit late, but thank you very much. If you don't mind, I would like to hear about your time in Zimbabwe too, it sounds interesting

@Darren Lockhart Sorry for the late reply. Thank you very much, I'll try my best
Something's off
I've done my first actual portrait after I began studying art, but it doesn't really match the reference well and several parts are off to me. Still, it was pretty fun to draw. What do you think?

@Willy Oleus Thank you for the compliment.
Beginning the course
I've just begun the Figure Drawing Course. It was fun and I think it went pretty well. Here's homework #1, took about 50 minutes. What's the verdict?
