What's Your Morning Routine? Plus 1 Thing You Do Every Morning That You Probably Shouldn't?
I've still been reading all of your answers to the "Would You Rather" poll from yesterday. Many of you were passionate about your answers and I love it! haha. I'm very excited to share the lesson on that later today. Before before then, I have a different kind of question: What's your current morning routine? I'm not asking about your perfect morning routine. I'm asking about the imperfect part. What's the one thing you do every morning that you know you probably shouldn't? Or the one thing you skip that you know you should do? I'll go first: I wake up, check on my daughter Zara, help my wife get the day started, and sometimes if they're still sleeping I'm on my phone or laptop within 10 minutes. I'll pray sometimes, take my supplements, try to drink water before coffee (maybe 4 out of 7 days I actually do), then play with Zara for at least 30 mins before getting ready & starting work; and some mornings I feel like I'm already behind before 8am. That's my real morning. Not the optimized version. Not the "I wake up at 5am and meditate" version where I do 50 pushups. Before becoming a parent I had pretty killer morning routine I promise! ๐
But if I'm being candid I'm still working on getting that back, especially when I work late nights. That's my truth. What's yours? The habit you can't break. The thing you skip. The part of your morning you're not proud of. Let's be real with each other. As we head into 2026, I want this community to be a place where we're honest about where we are, not just where we want to be. That's how we actually grow. That's how we hold each other accountable.
