My Entire Guard System Against a Kneeling Opponent (Explained in 4 Minutes)
One of my online students was having trouble dealing with opponents who pass from their knees, so I put together this video covering some general cues and what I think are the highest percentage attacks to focus on. It really helped him understand what to look for and improve his guard play, give it a watch and drop any questions or thoughts in the comments .

Nice little breakdown of the position. Thank you for sharing this @David Stoilescu ! Where do you personally like to connect shoulder crunch and pinch headlock controls with this position?
Countering K guard
These are my favourite ways to counter K-guard. Try them out and drop any questions or thoughts below.

Nice, you you ever choose to track and mark the hip instead of control the far leg to negate their K Guard attacks, or does that only really work on lower level K Guard players?

@David Stoilescu awesome! Just wanted to check that I was on the right track and not using stuff that only works on lower level partners! Itโ€™s been good so far in combination with the far leg but I havenโ€™t tried it against a high level competitor yetโ€ฆ
The most effective leg lock escape.
I think this is the most effective leg lock escape purely in terms of getting out of the leg entanglement. Itโ€™s universal, applies to every position, and has definitely saved me more than once in matches where Iโ€™ve been stuck. The only disadvantage is that you have to give up and possibly concede top position. try it and see how you go

Interestingโ€ฆ So it doesnโ€™t matter whether they are attacking foot locks, or heel hooks, you often look for the same late leg lock escape like this if you are already in the position?
Q&A
Drop your BJJ questions in the comments. Try to make them as detailed as possible so I can give you a good answer. If you canโ€™t phrase it in a sentence, donโ€™t be afraid to make a video. Iโ€™ll either reply with text, or, if I find it interesting enough, Iโ€™ll make a video and post it.

@David Stoilescu What is your key focus from guard when fighting people who favour tripod passing?
Mount escape
One of the most under utilised types of mount escapes is the bridging escape. A lot of people are good at kipping and elbow escapes, but the third type of escape that is often overlooked is bridging variations. Here are some of my favourite and, in my experience, most effective variations. Try them out and see how you go https://youtu.be/gQ775FVdUis?si=L7M9plBpHkfrfrbc

Nice breakdown. In terms of the highest percent escapes, do you generally look for one specific escape first and chain your escapes off that? Or is it more position specific and going by how you feel their base, posture and positioning?
