As we move deeper into this month’s theme, Meeting Yourself with Compassion , I wanted to gently remind you that compassion is not weakness. For many of us, compassion was something we learned to give everyone else while abandoning ourselves in the process. So before our first Zoom circle this month, I want to invite you into a softer pause. Not to push yourself harder. Not to overanalyze your healing. But to simply notice yourself with more tenderness. This week’s homeplay: Compassion grounding practise: Do outside for 5-10 minutes if you can. Leave your phone behind. Feel the for laundry your skin. Notice the sounds around you. Place one hand on your heart and one on your stomach. Take 5 slow breaths: Inhale through the nose for 4 Exhale slowly through the mouth for 6 As you breathe, repeat softly: I do not need to earn rest. I am allowed to meet myself gently. I can hold compassion for the version of me that was simply trying to survive. Journal Prompts: Where in my life am I Being the hardest on myself right now? What parts of myself still feel interest of softness? If I spoke to myself the way I speak to poeple I love, what would change? Healing is not about becoming perfect. Sometimes it’s simply learning to stop abandoning yourself in moments where you need love the most. I can’t wait to gather with you all again for our next Zoom circle this month🤍
