Your Family’s Secret Superpower
Let’s have some fun, I’ll be popping up a couple poll questions today and tomorrow to help us get to know each other. If your family had to win a competition today, what would it be? What would someone outside your family answer? By the way, this can be the family you grew up in, your current family, or your “family of choice.”

My family would probably win a competition for problem-solving. My mother was the person everyone turned to in our Brooklyn, New York community whenever they needed guidance or practical solutions. Although she dreamed of becoming a nurse, she married young and began raising a family, placing her own aspirations on hold. Even today, she remains a pillar of strength within our family. She consistently offers thoughtful, wise advice and is always willing to step in when something needs to be accomplished. If she has one weakness, it is that she rarely asks for help herself. She carries the weight of responsibility on her own shoulders and finds it difficult to delegate, often believing she must handle everything personally. All of us (we are four) have inherited some of my mother's qualities—after all, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Her resilience, resourcefulness, and commitment to helping others have shaped each of us in different ways and continue to influence how we approach life’s challenges.

13 Bags of Trash
I saw this on TikTok today and loved how it aligns with what we’ve been exploring this week. Share your thoughts? Is the speaker on target or no?

Makes sense!

My daughter had a room full of toys for my grandson and he could barely walk through. Even the bins were overflowing. The speaker mentioned that children feel overwhelmed when they have too many toys to chose from. That makes sense.

To Summit or Not to Summit - That is the Question
Good morning (afternoon, or evening) depending on where you are in the world and when you are reading this. I have a question for you, and need your help. I've been "bitten" by the summit bug and want to host something in our community in August. Not sure what a summit is? Check out Issue 08 of Skool Magazine. Here's my vision, let me know if this is something you would attend or if you have other ideas. - Primarily live sessions 30-60 minutes with topics covering a range of parenting topics and hands-on activities you can do with your families - Hands - on sessions will include a supply list prior to the event, if you want to play along - Opportunity to chat live with presenters during the session and in the community - All sessions will be recorded and free access available for 1 week after the session, with an option to purchase all sessions for future use - Community members have first option to apply to be a speaker (as long as you are level 3 or above) - Small speaker fee ($10 - $20) to offset cost of marketing and promotion plus post- production on videos (transcripts, captions, etc) - Summit structure (see poll)

The somewhat untraditional would work best for me as I can reschedule my day to accommodate without having to totally disconnect from my business.
