Day 23 — Built an AI Receptionist That Can Actually Book Appointments 🤖
Day 23 🚀 — Another real-world AI automation milestone completed. I’ve completed the AI Voice Receptionist for NovaSmile Dental Studio. This is more than a voice bot. It’s designed to handle real patient interactions and trigger backend automation: 📞 Answer patient calls 📅 Book, reschedule & cancel appointments 🔎 Find existing appointments ❓ Answer clinic FAQs 🚨 Handle emergency requests 👨‍💼 Transfer to staff when needed ⚙️ Connect conversations with real workflows Tech Stack: Retell AI • n8n • Airtable • Webhooks • Next.js 🌐 Live Demo Website: NovaSmile Dental Studio 💼 Want one for your business? I'm currently open to working with serious businesses that want an AI Voice Receptionist customized to their: • Business • Services • Booking system • CRM • Automation workflows If you'd like to test the AI receptionist before moving forward, send me a DM. Day 23 — Built. Connected. Tested. 🚀 #AI #VoiceAI #AIAgents #AIAutomation #AIReceptionist #n8n #RetellAI #BusinessAutomation #DentalAI #AppointmentAutomation #BuildInPublic #Day23

@Malik Ahmed This is solid — especially getting the full flow from call → booking → backend actions working. You’re right about the gap between demo vs production. Most systems work on the happy path but break when the caller is unclear or jumps around. One thing I’ve seen make a big difference is how well the system decides when not to automate and hands off to a human. That’s usually where trust is built with the business. Curious — how are you handling handoff triggers right now?

@Malik Ahmed That’s a solid approach — especially logging the handoff cases instead of forcing the AI to handle everything. That’s usually where systems break. What I’ve been noticing with service businesses is the real difference shows after deployment — not just handling edge cases, but how it affects: – response time – booking rate – missed calls (especially after-hours) Even a small delay can drop conversions a lot when intent is high. Curious — once this is live with a clinic, how are you planning to measure performance vs a human receptionist? Are you tracking things like missed-call recovery or just overall bookings?
🚀 Building My Next AI Voice Agent: Real Estate
After completing my AI Voice Receptionist for a dental clinic, I’m starting my next build — an AI Voice Agent for Real Estate. The stack: 🎙️ Retell AI — voice agent ⚙️ n8n — automation & workflow logic 📊 GoHighLevel (GHL) — CRM/database 📅 Calendar — appointment management The agent will be designed to handle inbound real estate calls and automate the repetitive work. The main workflows I’m building include: 📞 Answer inbound calls 🎯 Qualify buyers, sellers & renters 📝 Capture lead information 📅 Book appointments 🔄 Reschedule appointments ❌ Cancel appointments 🔎 Look up existing appointments 👤 Transfer important calls to the team The goal is to connect everything into one system: Caller → Retell AI → n8n → GHL → Calendar → Confirmation I’m building this from the ground up and testing each workflow before putting everything together. I’d love some input from the community: What other feature would you add to a real estate voice agent? Property matching? Lead follow-ups? Instant SMS after calls? AI lead scoring? Something completely different? Drop your ideas below 👇 I might add the most requested feature to the build. #AI #VoiceAI #RealEstate #AIAgents #n8n #RetellAI #GoHighLevel #Automation #BuildInPublic

@Okasha Khan This looks solid — the workflow is really well thought out. One thing I’ve been noticing (especially in service businesses) is how much value sits in that first call moment — if it’s missed, the lead is often gone. Curious how you’re thinking about handling missed calls vs just inbound handling?

@Okasha Khan That makes sense — instant SMS + callback is a solid fallback. What I’ve been seeing though (especially in HVAC) is if the call gets answered instantly, conversion is way higher vs trying to recover it after. Curious — in your testing, do more leads convert from immediate handling or from the SMS/callback flow?
Need feedback on my demo setup
Hey everyone, I’m working on an AI receptionist demo and would love your feedback. Current setup: • Voice agent handles incoming calls • Books appointments automatically • Demo length: 2:49 I’m stuck on a few things: • Should I show the dashboard during the call or just the call itself? • Is screen recording + phone view overkill? • What actually matters most in a demo like this? Also thinking of adding a “missed calls → recovered revenue” dashboard. Would you include that or keep it simple? Would really appreciate honest feedback 🙏 Also dropped a screenshot of my dashboard below 👇

@Mouldi Nouri This is super helpful — thank you. Makes sense to separate the experience from the explanation. I think I was trying to show everything at once instead of letting the call “sell” first. Going to test: 1. Call first (no distractions) 2. Then show missed calls → revenue Appreciate this a lot 🙏

@Kelly Lynch This is really helpful, thank you Kelly. I like the idea of keeping the call as the main focus and then using the dashboard only as a short recap after. Makes sense to let the experience sell first instead of explaining everything. I’ll adjust my demo based on this 🙏
Built a APP
I built a app for myself . I have ADHD and cant focus . Thanks AI

@K S Respect for actually building something to solve your own problem — that’s how real products start. Curious, what’s the one feature that made the biggest difference for your focus?
Give a star on GitHub
Give a star on GitHub Open-sourced something I’ve been building for school uniform shops. Parents order on a phone. Volunteers pack from a board. Stripe Connect pays the school’s own account. Not finished. Still learning what P&Cs need. Shipping in the open. Give a star on GitHub if you want to follow along: https://l.pimspace.com/uo-repo

@George Qiao This is really cool — especially how you’re focusing on a niche with real friction. Curious, have you seen any specific moment in the flow where most orders break or get delayed? That part usually reveals where the biggest value is.
