I feel like and am not progressing as fast as I would like to, especially in reading and speaking. It might be because of kanji and maybe katakana too (I keep forgetting some katakana characters) I hear other learners speak Japanese realively comfortably after only a few months of learning and I can't help but question the way I am learning. Any suggestions to improve my reading and speaking without overwhelming myself? P.S. I am very visual/music learner. I like memonics and musical sounds or beats while learning and I hate traditional rote learning. I also rely too much on romaji!
