Where are you?
Can I ask you something honest? How many hours this week did you spend doing work that has nothing to do with why you actually came alive? I talk to a lot of people in this community who have the career - the title, the salary, the LinkedIn profile that looks exactly right. And somewhere in a drawer, or a corner of the apartment, or a folder on their desktop, there's the work that actually matters to them. The art. Not as a hobby. Not as a "someday" plan. But as something that feels more like the real job than the job does. The question I keep hearing underneath everything is: can these two worlds actually coexist - or do I have to eventually choose? I have a strong opinion about this. But first I want to hear where you are. What's the thing that's keeping the art on the side instead of at the center? Is it the money doesn't feel reliable enough yet? Is it not knowing how to position yourself in a market that doesn't know what to do with a corporate-artist hybrid? Is it that you haven't given yourself permission yet? Tell me in the comments. No right answer.

Itโ€™s not knowing how to position myself in the market as an artist
If youโ€™re new here, start with these 3 things
If youโ€™ve joined recently, welcome - Iโ€™m really glad youโ€™re here. To make this space more useful (and more human), here are 3 simple things you can do to get started: 1. Introduce yourself Create a short post and share: โ€ข who you are โ€ข what youโ€™re currently exploring or building โ€ข what youโ€™re hoping to find here No need to make it perfect - a few sentences are enough. 2. Engage with one other person Read through a post or introduction and leave a thoughtful comment. Sometimes one honest sentence can create more connection than a long post. 3. Name your current focus What is one thing you want to move forward right now? You can share it in a post or simply keep it in mind as you explore the community. This space grows through participation, not perfection. You donโ€™t need to have everything figured out to be here. Just start where you are.โœจ

Cinematic. Soulful. Real. I'm Faith Rose โ€” I create visual stories that feel like music. Using nothing but my phone and my vision. ๐ŸŽฌ๐ŸŒธ
