Kingdom parents, Every year on May 31st, we celebrate the Everything Parent Award in honor of Frances Marie Williams. This is not just another post or something we scroll past. This is a movement. My grandmother, Frances Marie Williams, raised me. She was my everything. She did everything, even when it was hard, even when nobody saw it, even when she had every reason to give up. And when I look at this community, I see her in so many of you. Parents who are tired but still show up, healing while raising others, carrying a past and still pushing forward, parents who don’t have it easy but refuse to quit. So on May 31st, we honor that. We honor you. This is how we’re showing up. You wake up intentional. Not rushing, not overwhelmed, not pouring into everyone else first. You get dressed, do your hair, get your nails done, put on something that makes you feel good. You take yourself out, whether it’s to eat, to sit in peace, or just to enjoy your own presence. You take pictures, real ones, proud ones, the kind that say “I made it through some things.” I will be sending out certificates to every parent who signs up, because you deserve to be recognized. Then we show the world. You post your pictures, you tag the community, you send them to me, and I’m going to share them so the world can see what strength really looks like, what resilience looks like, what “everything” really looks like. The Word says in Ephesians 2:10 that we are His workmanship, created for good works… and then it says something that I don’t think we really sit with enough… “which God prepared beforehand.” That means before you ever got here… before you became a parent… before you started trying to figure life out… God already prepared the path. So your life is not as random as it feels. It’s not guesswork the way you think it is. And even in the middle of what feels chaotic… there is still intention behind it. Some of you are putting so much pressure on yourself trying to figure everything out. “What am I supposed to be doing?” “Am I doing this right?” “What’s my purpose?” And the whole time God is like… I already prepared it. You’re not creating your purpose. You’re stepping into it. You’re discovering what’s already been set in place. Even in your parenting… the child you have, the challenges that come with them, the growth that’s happening in you… it’s not random. You were trusted with that assignment. And everything you need to walk it out… God will either place it in you or bring it to you when you need it. So instead of stressing and trying to control every detail… shift your prayer. “God, show me what You’ve already prepared for me that I haven’t stepped into yet.” Because your job is not to invent a life… It’s to walk into the one that’s already been designed for you.

Father God, As we lead our homes and correct our children, we ask for wisdom. Your Word tells us not to provoke our children to anger… So Lord, show us where we may be crossing that line. Show us when correction turns into frustration. Show us when discipline turns into control. Show us when our tone, our words, or our reactions are pushing our children instead of leading them. Teach us how to correct without breaking their spirit. Teach us how to be firm… but still loving. Clear… but still patient. Consistent… but still understanding. And Lord, give us discernment. Tell us when enough is enough on our end. When to speak… and when to be quiet. When to correct… and when to step back and let the lesson settle. Help us not to parent from anger, pride, or the need to “win” the moment. But to parent in a way that builds our children, not frustrates them. We don’t just want obedient children… We want children who feel seen, heard, and guided. So refine us as parents. Correct us where we are wrong. Strengthen us where we are weak.
