Who else is dancing bachata?
Yesterday, I got a special visit from a wizard. @Lukas Schmidt and @Miel Avalon arrived here in Belgium for the last bachata party of the summer. I started learning Bachata in April last year—it's one of the best way to meet new people. Especially since I recently moved to a new city it is a great way to connect with others. Bachata creates connection surprisingly quickly. It is also a great break from work and a way to get in some additional movement...truly an overpowered skill. Anyone else dancing bachata or any other dance? (you should) (no really)

@Lukas Schmidt been hearing it a few times, yes 👀
How do you enjoy the weekend?
I like to challenge myself and learn new skills. The harder the better. Just being on my longboard is no longer challenging. At least not on the roads close by. That's why I'm learning to drive blind. Well, almost blind, but it's super disorienting, for sure. Also included a clip at the end @Lukas Kulbis requested a few times. Whether I'm spending time with friends, family, or by myself. I always think about turning the experience into an adventure. Today, I am competing with my sister to see who finds the most eggs during the Easter hunt. How do you enjoy the weekend?

This is super cool! Learning to move in 3rd person view but IRL instead of a video game ;) This weekend I went to a bachata festival—I'm still mostly a beginner but I got bored of the 4 moves I could remember so started inventing random things. Most of the time the ladies could follow, but I did get the remark that it was "difficult" one hahaha

It took me 5 years to get my first high-ticket client. I want to make sure that you'll get there much faster. That is why I summarize the best resources I find and share them with you. If you are still looking for your first high-ticket client, I suggest you drop everything and go through the Synthesizer Roadmap. Even if you already have paying clients, this video is a great reminder of the best practices. Here is the full notion summary: https://holigame.notion.site/Synthesizer-Roadmap-15a55e92219d80ab9e7ef9848d7da49f?pvs=4 At what stage of the roadmap are you?

Super cool that you shared your entire doc! Very helpful. My thoughts about this process, and what'd be my struggle: how do you understand (a) which of your skills are valuable and (b) how valuable they are? They talk about "your superpower." How do you find that? How do you know which of your superpowers are valuable, and how much? I'm sure you have this too: you're a deep expert at some things and it's all easy to you. But you might not even *know* how much people are struggling with it! An example close to me is AI: everyone's hyped about it, everyone wants to know how it makes them more productive. I know how this shit works from the inside out, I use it every day, and I struggle to articulate it. I guess talking to a lot of people helps—in the AI example, when I have conversations with people, it usually doesn't take long before I show them how to do something that blows their mind. But there's also less technical superpowers. I might say that my ability to make people feel safe and heard, emotionally, is a superpower. But how the heck would that become a high-ticket offer, and how would I even begin to think about what the value of that is? Anyways—that was quite a rant. I enjoyed the video, and as you can see some good questions are coming up :) I'm decent at most of the things from that course, the "mechanics" of the business. But even if you can drive you gotta have a car, otherwise there's not much you can do. And I'm saying this as someone who is making 11K/month with tech consulting services ;)

My manager at KPMG used to tell me... You need to have a "T-profile." You know a little bit of everything and there's ONE skill you go REALLY DEEP in. I nodded like a good junior employee. ...but to be honest I thought it was kind of bullshit. (Later they told me "we should have hired you as a manager" hah—but I had no idea what was going on, this was my first job after studying Computer Science & Engineering) Me? I'm more of an "M-profile." Because it's kind of cool that it's the first letter of my name. But also because I have a deep skillset in multiple things. (I like doing things deeply...hehehehehe) --- Anyways, that's an anecdote that tells you a bit about me. I'm here because I have ambition. I know I'm capable of a lot—and I don't want to have my last breath realizing I could have given more to this life. So I decided to play this game. This game of life. To give the world everything I've got. To take on big challenges. To become *that guy.* --- Just updated my site to show you guys a bit about me—I added some things people said about me and some of my primary skills. Have a look: https://samyn.co/ Some things I've been working on in the past month: - Designed & launched two webinar campaigns (ads, sales pages, email sequences, automating all the integrations, tracking, setting up payments) - Working with a couple coaches on client acquisition systems - Developing a matching platform for coaches and clients - Hosted a webinar on AI Productivity for B2B - Deadlifted 120kg x 5 again, it's been a while since I dared to try it but my back was all fine! Let's try more next time. - Updated my tiny SaaS tool for theater organizations to sell tickets, adding the ability to have a floor plan with seat selection --- For fun? Ummm the same things, just without the pressure of money and time 😂 Also dancing. Reading & listening to David Deida. Riding my electric unicycle. Reading & writing articles. Making videos.
