Courseware Update.
Hi all! Yesterday was a great learning day for me despite being incredibly frustrating. As I had mentioned earlier in the week, some videos were due to be posted in the courseware material. I've since learned that these will need to re-recorded to be smaller file sizes. It appears the Skool system and my not so fast internet connection do not play nice together. After several tries, i was unable to successfully upload the videos planned to the courseware. I will be re--recording these as soon as I get the opportunity to go shopping and get some stuff that can be used for the videos. I do apologize, this was a largely unseen issue and I will rectify it as soon as I can. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up and let y'all know I haven't forgotten about the videos. I hope everyone has a great week end!

Could you compress the files or use a slightly lower resolution in rendering?
Hold the Mayo - Home made Mayonnaise
Do you like mayonnaise but find that you don't use a store-bought jar fast enough to keep it from spoiling? If you do, this quick and easy recipe might be the solution for an as-needed option. To make it, you'll need the following: 1 cup vegetable oil 2 eggs 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon Mustard a high-speed mixer or immersion blender. Simply put all the ingredients into an appropriately sized container to accommodate your mixer and whip until the mixture is the consistency of mayonnaise. Feel free to adjust the lemon juice, salt and mustard to taste. As mentioned, by @Terence Vezina olive oil can be substituted for a healthier option Enjoy!

@Roy Houston the only things I use veg oil for is waterproofing my work boots, quenching, and as cutting oil.

@Roy Houston not very often. Of course, I'm not doing nearly as many knives as I was a few years ago.
Savings add up!
$17.52, that's what we saved on our shopping trip JUST on chicken and sausages. That's not counting the savings we had from other items and promotions. A little bit here, a little bit there. It all makes a difference. What could you do with an extra $17.52? Hit me up in the comments with your answers!

@Roy Houston I buy all my tickets used. There's and old guy outside the liquor store who sells them half price. I have to admit, I haven't had much luck with them...

But seriously, that much money can buy three baby chickens.
Sunday Plans?
What are your Sunday plans? My plans are pretty simple. I'm preparing for some repackaging as we went shopping yesterday and I have some meat to repackage for the freezer. This will also be recorded for both the course in the classroom, the community, Youtube, and Pinterest. Once the preparation is done, I'll be getting ready and heading off to church. This afternoon will be spent recording video and repacking chicken and sausages :) Let me know in the comments what your plans are for Sunday...

I was finishing up a commission piece for a client and then had students for a four hour tool making session.

@Roy Houston good. I had the students use forge welding to build mass on the end of a bar, then had them make hot punches, punch and drift holes in the previously mentioned masses, and they had cool little nail headers. Then they tested them.
