@Dan Hedlund Hey dude, welcome to this wonderful adventure toward greater self-knowledge. Breathe marks the beginning and end of our lives. Enjoy your journey ! In my case, to do this exercise, I have never used a towel on my face. I think it's inappropriate for me. Instead, I use a plastic bowl that I put in the freezer for a while. For the exercise, I prepare everything I need: place the bowl on a chair, sit on the floor, record my vital signs with an oximeterโeasy to find in pharmacies, for example 10 warrior breaths + 3 snake breaths Start the timer and calmly go for a dive with a smile on my face. When I can't continue, I stop the timer and check the oximeter again. Finally, I compare the two. For example, if you had a heart rate of 60 beats per minute before the dive and you end up with more or less 50 during the dive, you have just experienced the mammalian dive reflex. It would be easier to have someone with you. Otherwise, as I do when I'm alone, I film myself so I can see the changes in the oximeter afterwards. And above all, don't push yourself too hard. Be patient my friend and try, again and again.
