When do you need an ISBN
ISBN is a International STandard Book Number that one obtains and it is country specific. In Canada it is free and gos through our National Library. You’ll want (or need) an ISBN if: - You want bookstores or libraries to carry it - You plan wide distribution (Indigo, Barnes & Noble, wholesalers) - You want to be listed in global book databases - You want to appear more “traditionally published” 📌 Each format needs its own ISBN: - Paperback = 1 ISBN - Hardcover = 1 ISBN - eBook = 1 ISBN (optional but common) KDP / Amazon Amazon KDP specifics (important) - KDP does not require an ISBN. - Amazon assigns an ASIN automatically - BUT you can not sell it anywhere else. ⚠️ Note: If you use a free Amazon ISBN, Amazon is listed as the publisher (not you). I hope this helps. Also other places to sell your books is through Etsy.

Great breakdown this is super helpful and clear. ISBN decisions really come down to distribution goals and ownership positioning, and you explained that well. Especially important reminder about Amazon listing itself as publisher when using their free ISBN. Appreciate you sharing this insight!
Hello All, Michele here
Thank you for the invite. I am here to learn, help and grow. Learning AI, I can offer time to be an accountability partner, someone to bounce ides off. I am learning how to build an app that I am working on. Pleasure to meet everyone.

Welcome Michele great to have you here! That mindset of showing up to learn, contribute, and grow is exactly what makes these spaces powerful. AI and app building are exciting areas to step into right now, and having someone open to collaboration and accountability adds real value to the community. I especially appreciate you offering partnership and idea exchange that kind of intentional engagement accelerates progress for everyone involved. If you ever want to bounce concepts around, share build challenges, or compare workflows, I’m always open to thoughtful dialogue. Looking forward to seeing what you create — and glad you’re here.
Accountability by Design
I have been thinking about our accountability partners process and this came to mind so I thought I would share: Accountability by Design™ The A–Z Framework for High,Performance Accountability Partnerships Successorize Your Life™ by engineering momentum, discernment, and results with the right partner. The A–Z of Strategic Accountability Partnering A : Alignment Values, pace, and standards must align before goals. Misalignment creates drag. B : Boundaries Define scope, time, and emotional load upfront. Accountability is not therapy. C : Clarity Each partner states exact outcomes, metrics, and non, negotiables. D : Discernment Not every action equals progress. Partners help filter noise from signal. E : Energy Match Mismatch in drive, urgency, or availability kills partnerships quietly. F : Feedback (Direct + Clean)Truthful, timely, non, personal. No cushioning, no cruelty. G : Goals (Declared Publicly)Spoken goals activate commitment and follow, through. H : Honouring Commitments Missed actions are named, examined, and recalibrated:never ignored. I : Integrity Say less. Do more. Trust is built through consistency, not enthusiasm. J : Judgement,Free Accountabilit No rescuing. No shaming. Only responsibility. K : Key Metrics Track leading indicators, not just end results. L : Leverage Each partner brings different strengths:strategy, execution, perspective. M : Momentum Reviews Weekly check, ins focus on traction, not stories. N : Non,Attachment Partners challenge identity, based excuses (“this is just how I am”). O : Ownership No outsourcing motivation. Each person owns their results fully. P : Pace Agreement Decide cadence: weekly, bi,weekly, sprint, based. Drift is the enemy. Q : Quality Questions The right questions outperform advice. R : Reality Checks Partners reflect facts, patterns, and blind spots without spin. S : Standards Agree on what “done,” “complete,” and “successful” actually mean. T : Time Respect Start on time. End on time. Prepare in advance. U : Upward Pressure The partnership should stretch both people:not stabilize mediocrity.

This is incredibly well structured and honestly, this is the level of intentionality most people skip when they talk about “accountability.” What stands out to me is the distinction between casual check-ins vs engineered momentum. Real partnership isn’t about motivation it’s about alignment, ownership, and measurable traction. When A–Z elements like boundaries, pace, metrics, and upward pressure are built in from the start, accountability stops being emotional support and becomes operational strategy. I especially resonate with: • Discernment activity isn’t always progress • Integrity consistency builds trust faster than enthusiasm • Quality Questions the right question unlocks better execution than advice • Zero Tolerance for Drift course correction is leadership, not conflict
How does FEAR show up in your life?
FEAR : False Evidence Appearing Real or Face Everything And Rise. Either way, it’s an inside job. Whatever is happening between our ears. A question for you: Are we wired to sabotage… or to successorize our lives? Some days it’s hard to start, or even know where to begin. So where’s FEAR for you? is it what stops you, or what lights your fire?

FEAR shows up for me as pressure not paralysis. It’s the voice that asks, “What if this doesn’t work?” right before I’m about to build something bigger than I’ve done before. But I’ve learned something important FEAR usually appears at the edge of expansion. When I’m stretching into growth, launching new ideas, or stepping into responsibility. It’s rarely a stop sign it’s a signal. I don’t believe we’re wired to sabotage ourselves. I think we’re wired to protect ourselves… and sometimes protection disguises itself as hesitation. The real work is deciding whether to listen to protection or lean into purpose.
