I wrote my article
https://lnkd.in/edDwX5a6 I thought I was going to solicit feedback before posting, but my business truck had a mental break down and decided it was a door stop. Ugh, luckily the answer to "how much is this going to cost me" is postponed for another day because all the shops are closed in town. Anyhow, I wonder, can you relate to me? Have you asked for help yet? I know it was super hard to admit I am not an octopus and there really are only 24 hours in the day. Plus, I do have to sleep. Asking for help was so liberating! I have some contacts to those that helped me if you want names, they are open to virtual help sessions. Plus, hello, this group has helped me too. But I didn't have to ask...LOL, you just do help.

Welcome to The Content Shift, @Jenny Rader-Bakos Jennny teaches cooking workshops in person and is expanding into online offerings. She's got 15+ years in professional kitchens and runs Rooted & Wild, a community where she shares plant-based and foodie content. She's thinking about the real stuff: how to keep her content authentic instead of just posting to post. We love that energy. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Your Mind Needs Days Off (Just Like Your Body)
Even athletes need recovery days. Your mind is no different. You can't be "on" all the time. Social media isn't a 24/7 game. But so many of us treat it like it is, checking first thing in the morning, last thing at night, during meals, during conversations. It's exhausting because it is exhausting. Heavy social media use correlates with lower well-being, especially when it displaces sleep and real-world connection. The more time you spend scrolling instead of sleeping or being present with people you care about, the worse you feel. Recovery time is not lazy. It's essential. Try "social media sabbaths": a few hours or a whole day offline each week. Replace scrolling with small rituals: a walk, journaling, stretching, even just staring out the window. Track your mood before and after scrolling. Often, patterns reveal themselves quickly. You might notice that 20 minutes of scrolling leaves you feeling drained. Or that a walk clears your head in ways endless doomscrolling never will. This is part of a series from the bonus chapter of my upcoming book, Redefining Showing Up: Your Permission Slip to Using Social Media for Business on Your Terms. Your move: Pick one day this week to take a true break from your phone. Just a few hours. Notice how you feel during and after. When was the last time you took a real break from your phone, and how did you feel? ⚡

@Stacey Watts I hop off my phone Saturday morning after breakfast and steer clear until Sunday morning 🥰
Let’s (Re)Introduce Ourselves
You’re in the right place — whether you joined today or you’ve been here a while. This community is about connection over perfection and building content that actually supports your business, not drains it. As we grow, I want onboarding to stay clear, calm, and human. So consider this a collective reset and a chance for everyone to reconnect. 👉 Start here (3 easy steps) A) (Re)introduce yourself Tell us: Your name What you do One thing you want help with around content right now If you’ve shared before, think of this as an update. Businesses evolve. So do people. No polished bio required. Real > refined. B) Drop your Skool link (if you have one) Yes, you’re allowed to share your Skool here. This is a supportive space, not a spammy one. If you’re building, dreaming about, or refining a community, we want to see it. C) Engage with 3 others Say hi. Leave encouragement. Ask a thoughtful question. Community grows when we talk with each other, not at each other. ✨ That’s it. You’re officially in (or re-in). No algorithms to impress. No pressure to perform. If you ever feel stuck, unsure what to post, or need a second brain — that’s exactly what this space is for. Glad you’re here. — Stacey 🤍

@Stacey Watts the online workshops and monetizing. I get stuck in my head. Doubt what I have to offer and then before you know it I have completely shifted course. Kind of like a vicious circle.

@Stacey Watts can't wait to read it! Have a wonderful evening 🌿
Fast Fix Friday: Chronological Feeds
Meta defaults you to algorithmic feeds, but here's the thing: both Facebook and Instagram have chronological feed options that show fewer ads and zero suggested content. On Instagram, tap the word "Instagram" at the top of your screen. You'll see a dropdown menu: hit "Following." You're now seeing posts from people you actually follow, ordered by when they were posted. Minutes ago, not weeks. On Facebook, tap your profile picture in the bottom right corner. Same deal: you'll get options for which feed to view. Pick the chronological one and you're back to real-time content. This is where I do my actual engagement. 10 minutes a day on each platform, then I'm done. Everything else is noise. The chronological feed keeps it simple and honest. **click on each photo for where to find the Chronological feeds.
