Can You Really Start with Insurance Leadgen as a Complete Beginner?
Hey everyone, I could use some clarity on the best starting point. I’m new to affiliate marketing (never launched a campaign yet), but not a total beginner in marketing overall — I’ve done some ecom, print-on-demand, and I’ve been working as a freelance video editor in a startup for the past 2 years. For the past few months, I’ve been seriously learning the game (read From Zero to Super Affiliate by Attila, watching interviews, soaking up advice from top affiliates, using ChatGPT, etc.). I like to feel solid on the theory before jumping into execution. After exploring most verticals, the one that aligns with me the most is leadgen / pay per call in the insurance niche (Health, ACA, Medicare, auto) in US GEO, using YouTube Ads and Google Search as my traffic sources. I’m not into black hat / cloaking – I prefer running clean, compliant offers long-term. 👉 My issue right now: I don’t know how to take the first step into action. I’ve tried applying to some insurance-focused leadgen networks, but I keep getting rejected (no track record yet). So far, the only networks that accepted me are generalist ones like CrakRevenue, Dr.Cash, MyLead... My question is: - Is it realistically possible to start directly in the insurance leadgen niche even as a beginner? If yes, how would you recommend getting started? - Or would it be smarter to start with a different vertical to build some credibility, then re-apply? - If so, based on my traffic sources (YouTube Ads / Search), which vertical would you recommend to get started? Thanks a lot in advance
