We're five months into 2026. This is the moment to stop and assess — not with excuses, but with brutal honesty. If you're hitting your goals: What's working? What do you need to keep doing? And what's the next move to level up? If you're not on track: Be real about why. Is it time, focus, fear, or something else? Because if you've had the same goal for years with no real progress, the problem isn't the goal — it's the approach. Every success requires sacrifice. The writers and filmmakers who break through aren't the ones with the most talent. They're the ones who decide what they're willing to give up to get what they want. A Resource I Swear By. For years, I've used Screenwriting Staffing to find paid screenwriting gigs. They share everything from feature assignments to TV staffing opportunities. They connect writers directly with producers, directors, and production companies actively hiring. The free membership provides access to job listings, emailed to you regularly. Note: Make sure to ONLY submit what is requested and follow the website's rules. Keep in mind that some of these gigs are posted on multiple platforms, so send your best samples.
