When things break down
And by things I mean you! Lol I'm wondering what you might be doing for self-treatment if you are experiencing injury or body related issues and you are not able to receive from a practitioner. I am fond of therapy balls, foam roller and theracane. Wondering what anyone else might be doing or using in this regard 🙏

YouTube or online self care guided tutorials; yoga stretches for rehab (Yoga with Adrianne) Depends on the injury but Reflexology, aromatherapy blends and castor oil packs for inflammation. Ice baths and heat packs. And I love tens machine or Theraplate

@Christopher Gregory oooh don’t know Graston but Gua Sha yes. It’s very helpful. Especially on my neck.
Growing as Healers
Sometimes we love our inhibitions more than our possibilities. What is the first thing in your way, when you feel that desire to heal others, or yourself?

@Nathan Gramley you nailed it with Fear, the hamster wheel and being willing to do the work to move through fear to the other side.

@Jack Potts do you mean healing in view of others (and being judged?) I do have moments of that but then I trust that I can only know what know, there’s always more to learn, and the person on the table is stoked to be getting worked on by you. Also; author Brene Brown says she refuses to allow the ‘judgement’ of people who are in the bleachers to affect her. Only listen to those in the ring with you. They know the struggle and are right there along side you not judging you as they focused on their own goals. Put yourself out there. Get uncomfortable and you might be surprised at what you can achieve. Hope that makes sense?

@Adele Lafever 🩷🩷🩷 This is such a blessing…to have it all ready to tick off, in order, knowing I’ve not missed anything in this whirlwind of “have to do’s” in my head. Many thanks for such awesome practical, actionable advice.

This is wonderful! Perfectly timed and I'm so looking forward to completing these entries. After reading the first few days worth of questions, I can see how helpful this is now and in the future, as a reflection and reality check that you’re living your dreams :)
Hello Healers Craft Community
Hello! I’m Eva from Australia. I have just completed my studies and am a qualified (licensed) Spa Beauty Therapist after 25 years as a Freelance Hairstylist and Makeup Artist. I have signed up for a further remedial massage course in 2025 to beef up my skills and knowledge. Working as a freelance bridal hair and makeup artist during COVID I took time to nurture my soul studying Permaculture, living on a 40 acre farm with my 6 rescue horses, blind dog (pictured) and 20+ sheep. This combined my love of nature and animals but I knew I was meant to massage since I was young. After high school I was accepted into Massage school but my father forbade me studying a “red light” profession and I had to withdraw my application….but after 27 years I am now qualified, in love with the modalities I have learned especially Ayurvedic Head massage, hot stone, lymph drainage and aromatherapy massage. I am so happy to be here in this community and in this stage of life.
