New to Truck Dispatching
Hey everyone! 👋 My name is Alan, I’m 27 and I’m from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico 🇲🇽 I’m completely new to truck dispatching, but I’m a motivated person who loves learning and never gives up. I joined this community because I want to learn the business from A to Z and eventually build something that gives me more freedom and, most importantly, more time with my family. Excited to learn, connect with everyone, and grow along the way! 🚛🔥

New to Dispatching
What’s the most effective way to find carriers when starting out? I’ve seen different methods being discussed and would like to know what actually works.
@Hina Maher . I think different methods work for different people, and sometimes timing and luck play a part too. Paid ads can work, and social media is definitely a very powerful way to communicate and reach carriers today. But I think the key is to test different methods without spending too much money at the beginning. See which one you feel most comfortable and confident using, and which one actually brings you better results. What works really well for one dispatcher may not be the best method for another.
Trying to Launch
Hello, I have returned to the community; I am more serious now than ever and have already taken many steps towards towards being a successful Dispatcher such LLC formation, business phone, etc. I have watched the videos under the “Start Here” banner- although it never gives me credit for watching. I am officially trying get my first client. For now, until I have more funds towards the budget, I am just doing cold calls. Any other suggestions that could help me out guys? I also want to be a success story.
Trying to Launch
@Antonia Erazo I have a few questions, and I hope you don’t take them the wrong way. You mentioned that you came back and that this time you’re taking it more seriously. Can I ask what was the main reason that made you come back to this community? Because usually, people don’t come back without a reason. And when you say you’re ready for your first carrier, do you already feel comfortable with the important parts of dispatching, calculating the numbers, managing deadhead, identifying a good load, and understanding which cities or markets have high demand and which ones are hot or cold?

@Mohamed Ntehah When you say you want to try something different, what is the main reason you decided to work as a dispatcher? Is it financial freedom? The flexibility of being able to work remotely? Or maybe communication is one of your strengths? What was the main thing that attracted you to this field and made you decide to pursue it?
