I was very happy to reach the finish line of my second sprint triathlon last Saturday, March 7! The "sprint" distances are 700 m swim, then 20 km bike, then 5 km run, which I did in just over 2 hours 3 minutes, a little faster than my time last year. But the biggest win is that it was pain-free! Last year, and previously when I tried a shorter version, after finishing the bike ride I felt like I could hardly walk, much less run. My ankles, hips, knees all hurt when running, and I had to take several walking breaks. For the past year my focus with Rodrigo has been hip stability and stronger glutes (yes, lots of hinges!) and it really paid off. During this race I had NO pain in the hips or anyplace else. Of course I was tired at the finish and took a couple of days off, but with no injuries or undue soreness, and this week I'm back to running and swimming. I look forward to seeing you at the live lesson tomorrow!
