🗓️ Annual Sessions Challenge
This is our Annual Sessions Challenge — a simple way to track your consistency, notice progress, and reflect on how your movement practice evolves over the year. Everyone is encouraged to join, no matter when you started. 👉 How this works - Leave ONE comment below to start your personal thread. - In that comment, post the total number of sessions you completed in your first month. - Each month after that, reply to your original comment with: Keeping everything in one thread makes it easy to look back and see your consistency build over time. 💬 What to share (optional, but encouraged) Along with your session count, feel free to add: - Wins (big or small) - What’s feeling better or different - Challenges you’re navigating - Questions or observations You’re also encouraged to like and comment on other people’s threads — that support and interaction goes a long way in keeping everyone motivated. A quick reminder This isn’t about perfection or comparing numbers. It’s about: - Showing up - Building the habit - Tracking what you’re actually doing over time Consistency compounds — and this thread helps make that visible. 👇 Go ahead and start your thread below with the total sessions from your first month. Let’s build this year together. 👣

I completed 12 sessions for the month of January :)

Wow, I really haven’t been updating but I do know the numbers in my head! Haha. So I’ll play catch up here: February I was able to average 10 lessons for the month, working on Level 5. I remember still feeling some lower back pain when standing for too long. Win was just generally feeling stronger in the legs and more balance. March, also 10 sessions per month focusing on Level 6. Had a big win with noticing how after driving long distances my right hip pain had gone away while driving and getting out of the car. Yay! April, I’ve been rocking the lessons. I’ve done 12 already with some body breaks 🙌. I’m so impressed with how strong my upper body and shoulders are feeling. I’ve been getting great feedback about my beasts and remembering to lead with my sternum more. I have discovered using the ball for my TLC in the hips have added reaching new depths of pain but a great thing is that the number is already decreasing. I’m feeling generally stronger :)

A summary for this month! I’ve been doing 3 sessions per week with some added small 10 minute breaks here and there. I’ve been working on Integration days from levels 4,5 and 6. And coming to some Tuesday and Thursday lives. I’ve been feeling pretty great :)
Walking Win!
I just wanted to share that this week I have noticed a change in the way that I am stepping on my feet. Since I can remember I’ve always walked on the inside of my feet where my knees would also almost hit eachother. And after Tuesdays session I experienced the sensation of “bull legged” knees and walking more on the “outside” of my foot. In reality i was actually experiencing what it feels like to have a neutral stance and walking! Things are changing! Yay.
My win: a pain-free triathlon!
I was very happy to reach the finish line of my second sprint triathlon last Saturday, March 7! The "sprint" distances are 700 m swim, then 20 km bike, then 5 km run, which I did in just over 2 hours 3 minutes, a little faster than my time last year. But the biggest win is that it was pain-free! Last year, and previously when I tried a shorter version, after finishing the bike ride I felt like I could hardly walk, much less run. My ankles, hips, knees all hurt when running, and I had to take several walking breaks. For the past year my focus with Rodrigo has been hip stability and stronger glutes (yes, lots of hinges!) and it really paid off. During this race I had NO pain in the hips or anyplace else. Of course I was tired at the finish and took a couple of days off, but with no injuries or undue soreness, and this week I'm back to running and swimming. I look forward to seeing you at the live lesson tomorrow!
