The Fitness Industry is Finally Catching Up to Midlife Women
Check out this New York Times article published last week, which highlighted something we're talking about every day! ! https://www.nytimes.com/2026/06/10/well/move/menopause-workouts-exercises.html Wherever you are in your exercise journey, there is a safe place for you to begin or expand! You know women in perimenopause and menopause need to exercise differently. Now, major fitness companies are finally recognizing that women in midlife have different physiological needs—and they're building programs specifically for us. Here are a few that caught my attention: 🏋️ Pvolvehttps://www.pvolve.com Their Menopause Strong program focuses on strength training, mobility, stability, and functional movement in partnership with Elektra Health. Their philosophy is to build strength without beating your body up. 🚴 Peloton + Respin Healthhttps://www.onepeloton.com/blog/menopause-exercise Peloton has partnered with Respin Health to create a Menopause Health Collection featuring strength training, cycling, sprint intervals, mobility, and meditation classes specifically designed for women in perimenopause and menopause. 💃 The Sculpt Societyhttps://thesculptsociety.com/pages/midlife-program Their new Midlife Program combines progressive strength training, low-impact cardio, pelvic floor work, mobility, recovery, and physician-led education. I especially appreciate that they encourage women to adjust intensity based on how they're feeling rather than pushing through every workout. 💛 The best part? The recommendations from these companies look remarkably similar to what you've been learning in BB40. ✔ Prioritize strength training. ✔ Walk often.

Summertime Mocktails for Better Blood Sugar
If you missed yesterday's Office Hours on Blood Sugar Spikes: Why They Matter & How to Flatten the Curve, reach out here, and we'll give you some habit stacking hacks. A good one is adding a tablespoon of vinegar to sparkling water ( or using it in salad dressing) before a carbohydrate-rich meal. This helps reduce the post-meal blood sugar rise because acetic acid slows digestion and encourages muscles to take up glucose. To be served in the most elegant of glasses, relax and enjoy, as you would a glass of rosé by the pool. Want more? Let us know! The Metabolic Mojito Ingredients - 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or white wine vinegar) - Juice of ½ lime - Sparkling water - Fresh mint leaves - Ice - A few cucumber slices Stir and sip 10–20 minutes before dinner. It feels like a cocktail but turns an ordinary Tuesday night into a ritual while the cucumber and mint make it feel fresh and spa-like, with no added sugar. Berry Basil Spritz Ingredients - 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar - Sparkling water - 2–3 crushed raspberries or blackberries - Fresh basil leaves - Lemon wedge - Ice Lightly muddle the berries and basil. Top with sparkling water. You get beautiful flavor from just a couple of berries instead of lots of fruit juice. The berries contribute fiber and polyphenols. And it feels elegant. Citrus Ginger Fizz Ingredients - 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar - Sparkling water - Fresh lemon - Fresh lime - Thin slices of fresh ginger - Ice - Rosemary sprig. Ginger adds incredible flavor without sugar. It's refreshing, digestive, and sophisticated. This has become one of my favorites before dinner.

Summertime Mocktails for Better Blood Sugar
🎉 HUGE congratulations to one of our incredible BB40 members! 🎉
This beauty crossed the finish line of a mini triathlon alongside her sisters today! What makes this achievement so inspiring is that for weeks, she showed up, trained when it was inconvenient, and stayed committed when motivation was super low. She organized her recovery and nutrition to support her goals; she fueled appropriately, recovered intentionally, and she trusted the process. And today, she @*&#-ing did it. 💪🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️ This is what BB40 is all about. We're not chasing perfection or waiting until you're "ready." Setting a meaningful goal, supporting your body through the process, and discovering that you are capable of so much more than you thought, this is what we're about! We are so proud of her. Congratulations on an incredible accomplishment! 🎉 Strong women. Strong sisters. Strong finish. 💙

Women, We Deserve More Than This
Thank you, Melinda French Gates, for today's NYT article calling for greater investment in women's health, research, education, and support for women navigating midlife and menopause, to which she's investing over $ 600 million ~! https://www.nytimes.com/2026/06/04/opinion/menopause-women-health-care.html Every day inside Better Beyond 40, women are learning how to build muscle, support metabolism, improve their sleep, fuel their bodies, manage stress, and understand the hormonal changes that come with midlife. Melinda Gates speaks of a revolution. You are that revolutionary! You are choosing strength over restriction, you are fueling your workouts instead of starving through them, you know that fatigue, brain fog, weight gain, and loss of vitality are not simply "the price of aging." Our revolution is one where women support women, share experiences, celebrate wins, and refuse to accept the outdated narrative that getting older means getting weaker. At Better Beyond 40, we believe women deserve evidence-based guidance, community, and practical tools to thrive through midlife and beyond. The revolution is here, and you are leading the charge. "Be the change you want to see in the world." Every woman who chooses to invest in her health, advocate for herself, and show up for this work is part of the “deserve more movement”. You are the revolution. 💙 Together, we’re creating a future where women don’t simply age—they thrive.
