What does obedience look like
World perception: If you are in a store, or a bank and someone comes in to rob the place using a gun, The moment they say to put your hands up in the air, unless you're feeling very very very brave, your hands immediately go up in the air and an act of surrender. You obedience was that you followed the command of putting your hands in the air immediately without second thought. You had a true fear that if you did not put your hands up consequences would be more than likely manifesting in the realm of physical harm. So beatings in a worldly perception is that in this scenario, your hands immediately go up in the air as an act of surrender. Biblical perspective: If there's a specific verse that tells you to do something, or instructs you NOT to do something, you are supposed to immediately act upon it. That will look like anything from: writing the verse down, doing a complete word study on the aspect of scripture that God has placed on your heart, doing a theme study in line with what God has placed on your heart, or any of those aspects of digging into the word so that you know fully what God is trying to get across to you. Years ago I asked God what he wanted me to do when I recommitted my life completely and fully to following him instead of being half into the world and half into being a Christian. He placed on my heart Matthew 6:33. Now here's the thing that took place, I opened my Bible read the verse, said to myself okay I understand. At that point put the Bible away and I went about my day. But God knew that I didn't fully understand the message He was trying to convey, because they're very next day one of the Christian brothers in a Bible study that I attended mentioned Matthew 6:33 and Holy Spirit plucked my heartstring as a way to get my attention for me to go study that verse. What I actually did though in that second time of looking up the verse is that I looked up the verse I looked up two words in the verse and thought that that was sufficient. However, God saw it in a different perspective. So being that I still did not get the message that God was trying to get on to my heart, the next Sunday that I went to church the entire message was about Matthew 6:33.

What does obedience look like
Standing on a firm foundation
One of the things that we as Christians must always, always, always do is that we must always read the word of God every single day. By doing so we become familiar with what the word of God says, and when situations arise in our lives we can act accordingly in line with the word of God as the Holy Spirit brings to remembrance of that of what we have been told through the Word of God. That is why it's so important that as believers we study to show ourselves approved in the sight of God. We're going to face troubles, we're going to face hardships, we're going to face betrayals, individuals close to us are going to break our trust, they're going to verbally say things that are going to hurt us and a whole slew of other things. However, if we are in the word of God every single day to the point where it's saturates our minds and our hearts the Holy Spirit will bring to remembrance that what the word has said in context and in line with the situation that you're currently facing. And the importance of that is simply that you will begin to be molded into the man or woman of God that the Lord needs you to be. in Romans chapter 12 it tells us that we are supposed to give our bodies to the Lord as a reasonable sacrifice, in verse to it says do not be conformed to the ways of the world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. We do that through our daily reading of the Word of God because the more we read the word, the more we see how God has handled situations whether through the illustrations of the Old testament or the Holy Spirit in you giving you conviction about what it is you read in any aspect of the Bible. So it's vitally important that as a believer, if you're calling yourself a follower of Christ, it is vitally, vitally important to know what the Word of God says in any situation. An older gentleman once told me, "God said it, I believe it, that settles it." He also told me that anytime I am faced with a situation his comment to me was put the word of God on it and find out what I'm to do so I encourage you brothers and sisters to when you're facing situations put the word of God on it. Meaning open your Bibles and get along with God in prayer and ask the Holy Spirit to open up your understanding of the word to help guide you on how yours to respond.

I love that we as Christians have found a platform that we can fellowship with each other
Praying it through
No matter what you face, no matter the severity of the situation, you, the situation, those other individuals involved if that is applicable, all of it needs to be lifted up in prayer combined with the word of God is how we are to pray. When we pray we are giving it over to God allowing him to step in and intercede. By ourselves we can do nothing, when we lift it up in prayer we take it out of the realm of self will and turn it over to God so that we walk in accordance with scripture. Remember that in all things we are to be praying not only for ourselves but the circumstances of life.
