Ed, great points! Much of what experienced coaches teach has been developed, tested, and refined over years of working with real people. AI simply makes that knowledge easier to access, organize, and apply. But knowing something and knowing how to guide someone through it are two different things. That's where the experience, wisdom, and judgment you and other seasoned coaches bring to the table really matter. And for those aspiring to become coaches, AI offers a tremendous head start, but it's no substitute for developing real coaching skills, gaining experience, and learning from mentors like you. ICF training and certification can certainly and probably should be part of that journey. AI, or SI, as Trump would have it 😊, is a powerful tool, but the human connection and ability to guide people through real challenges are what make a good coach. That's where the real value lies.
