@Tim Bull I'm using chess.com, are you using Lichess?
White to play and win.
Fun endgame position that I saw posted by legendary Dutch Grandmaster Jan Timman.
White to play and win.

1. Rg6, Kh8, 2. Rg7, Rxh6, 3. Axb7, Rb6, 4. Rc7. I don’t see any way out for blacks next move. Whites next move would be Rc8 to check the king on back rank, promote pawn on B8 and trade queen for rook. Rook and King checkmate for white. Sorry, my “chess notation” is actually pretty weak so I may have written things incorrectly.

@Tim Bull I tried to send my “solution” before reading other people’s answers so I wasn’t influenced and I think I overlooked your point of b7xa6. My original guess was: 1. Rg6, Kh8, 2. Rg7, Rxh6, 3. Axb7, Rb6, 4. Rc7. But I dunno what I’d do if instead: 1. Rg6, Kh8, 2. Rg7, BxA6. Because then I can’t see a way out of a draw.
Esports World Cup
Anyone get to enjoy the EWC this week? The format was so interesting and fun to watch. 😃

I agree, I feel like at least in the first set of grand finals Alireza was hindered badly by his time control. It was sad to watch because he was playing well, just taking too long to make his moves.

Hey everyone, I'm an IT tech and started playing chess after a mixture of watching Queens Gambit and seeing some random Magnus Carlson shorts on YT lol. I play a lot of bullet chess, mostly because the format is forgiving for me to play between calls / tickets at work without getting too wrapped up. I haven't wanted to spend too much time with multipe opening so I've focused on London as white and Kings Indian as black. I know this is a fault I have and that I need to expand my skill set to more openings but I truly enjoy these openings lol. Good to be here.
