1. My intention is to use this course to propel more satisfaction in my career. 2. I recognized this through the Wheel of Life, it was the lowest area. 3. When I was a child I didn't get a lot of variety. As an adult, it turned into this unconscious desire to explore. When I was in college I bounced through 12 business ideas enamored by the startup phase. I couldn't settle on just one idea to build out. Finally I created a business that tests business ideas. This gave me constant variety for a while. But eventually I systematized even that, so I got bored and sold that company to start a more promising one. In my second company, I found so much excitement charting unexplored territory. But eventually I figured out how to systematize that as I promoted my executive assistant to CEO. I spun my wheels a lot after that deciding which direction I should go in. And this is where the unhealthy part of the obsession comes in. With new directions constantly, I was spreading my company resources thin. The money is in operating the model you've figured out, not in inventing the new thing. This is manifesting even now - I have several directions to go in - 3 books, a youtube channel, a coaching program, retreats... And I need to commit to one long enough to systematize it before moving to the next. I hope to use this course to identify some of the root causes of the unhealthy fulfillment of my childhood void so that I can transform this into an adult passion.
