Hi, I'm currently on two boards and helping another organization get launched and create a board. One current board is Resilient Coders, where we train underrepresented people as coders and AI experts and find them jobs. The other current board is the Writers Room of Boston, which is a room for writers to work in and virtual and in-person events/activities for writers. The future board is a community and space for musicians and artists to practice and perform in a small venue. If anyone is interested in any of these concepts or has wisdom to share, I'd love to connect! One thing I'd like to see better in many boards is more collaboration to advance the mission of the organization. Often, I see the only time together is during board meetings, where it's more advisory and less doing. When engagement happens, it's usually been 1-on-1 with a board member. I know we all have limited time. What ideas do you have on ways multiple board members might have more impactful engagement?
