Calculation of Disability incorrect did not include work benefits that were repaid
My disability automatically turned into Social Security when I was 65. I was Disabled at 45, but at 65, I attempted to work. Worked 30 months. After I quit, it was determined that I lost 4 years of Social Security disability benefits to pay back the 30 months I worked. I do not believe that those 2.5 years were ever added to my work pay to calculate my Social Security, as my payment amount did not change.

@Leo Vitt Thank you. I was born in 1953 and got SSDI at 45, but the problem started when I made a good-faith effort to work. I was penalized for much longer than the time I worked, and my earnings under Social Security did not increase correspondingly.

Thanks so much, Leo. I'll follow up on this!
