Questions About Inventory Management & Nurse Workflow with Olympia Pharmacy
Hi! I'm a physician in Florida in the process of launching a physician-owned mobile IV therapy company. I'm planning to use Olympia Pharmaceuticals as my compounding pharmacy and had a few questions about inventory and workflow. 1. When you're first starting out, how much inventory do you recommend ordering from Olympia? I don't want to over-order and risk products expiring, but I also want enough stock to meet demand. 2. Where do you have Olympia ship your products? Do you have them delivered to your home, an office, or another location? 3. How do you handle inventory with your nurses? Do they pick up patient-specific IV kits from a central location before appointments, or do they each keep their own inventory? 4. If a nurse gets additional same-day bookings after they've already left for appointments, how do you handle that? Do they return for more supplies, keep backup inventory in their vehicle, or use another system? I'd really appreciate hearing what has worked best for you and what you'd do differently if you were starting over. Thanks in advance!

Thank you again. Then that means nurse would have to pay the IV supplies out of the pockets and the vitamins, fluids etc One thing I'm curious about is the nurse experience. Do you find that asking nurses to purchase their own initial inventory makes recruiting more difficult? Approximately how much do your nurses typically spend to get started with enough inventory to begin taking patients?

reason why I asked is because I saw your videos on 50/50 for nurses but it might be lower since they are paying supplies
