Wise Words From Sam Ovens
I saw a comment from Sam this morning and I thought I'd share it all with you. For me, I believe this is something a lot of people face, especially when building their business/community.

@Marianne Suarez Sabugo I totally get what you mean! I’ve been in this battle with my own brain too — trying to train it not to spin me up with random, made-up fears that trigger anxiety. 😅 When those thoughts start roaring, I’ve been practicing not jumping on board with them right away. Instead, I hit pause and ask myself: - Is there actually any evidence for this thought? - Can I do anything to stop what I’m afraid of from happening? - If not, is there a way to control it or at least soften the impact? Most times, once I run through that, I calm down… at least until the next storm rolls in 🤣. Then it’s rinse and repeat. Honestly, sometimes it feels like my brain 🧠 goes on a worry rampage with the wild energy of group of hyperactive toddlers.

@Marianne Suarez Sabugo I love the metaphor of thoughts as cars! 🚗 You’re so right — it’s way too easy to hop into the wrong one when we’re tired or overwhelmed. I’m learning to rest before my batteries run too low. Thanks so much for sharing — I’ve learned a lot from this conversation. From now on, I’m definitely going to be choosier about which “car” I hop into… don’t want to end up worn out, beat up, or cruising to the wrong destination! 😄
I am enchanted by the Build with Jenna Classroom Classroom 🙌
Hey everyone! I’m less than a month into Skool and moving full speed to learn how things work, set up my community, and engage in others—so many of which make me feel like a kid in a candy store! 🍬 I finally explored the Classroom and wow—it’s so valuable yet simple to understand and implement. I’ve turned it into my checklist of first principles for my own community's classroom. @Jenna Ostrye Big thanks for modelling great practice while building my capacity—you rock! My goal: finish my classroom this weekend using your model and Nick Saraev’s (How I Won the Skool Games with a $300K/mo One-Man Community). 🙌 “If you’re new to Skool like I am, this is an absolute must-checkout! 😃🎉”

@Tiffany Noel Taylor Thanks! It’s been an absolute delight. The platform is great, but the people are the best part. Everyone is pure magic — it feels like being back in kindergarten: warm, friendly, and helpful. People are rooting for each other! Pure joy all around. 🎉
Matthew’s Skool Growth Strategy: 7 Day Free Trials and Affiliates
Just posted the replay and this might be the most practical Skool growth system you will see… that anyone can do. Yes, even brand new beginners. @Matthew Thompson shared how he built a very engaged community using a 7 day free trial, a simple affiliate model, and no social media or content creation. He is currently ranked number two in the Skool Games for his category and earned the Star badge as one of the top one percent of creators on the platform. This strategy is perfect if you • Do not have a big audience • Do not want to be online all day • Want something simple that still scales You will see how Matthew • Created a 7 day challenge that actually converts • Turned new members into referrers without asking • Designed an onboarding flow that keeps people active and engaged • Built a trust loop that grows the community on its own If you are curious what it actually feels like to be inside this kind of Skool experience, now is the perfect time to jump in and see it from the inside. If you know the Alex Hormozi pitch, it’s the same energy here. You can make an educated decision from the inside. No pressure, just results. Plus, you get to be a part of the mission Matthew talked about in the video and also see if this is a money model you want to give a shot. Just by doing the 7 day free trial. 👉 Click here to join the free 7-day challenge 👈 🎁 Matthew has also agreed to host a private call for us on the topic of eliminating distraction while working. This is only for people who join using this link in the next 24 hours. He usually only shares this inside his $10k/year mastermind. 🎁🎁 For anyone that joins with this link in the next 24 hours and does all 7 day check in posts inside the community, I will be doing my own Matthew Thompson style spin the wheel giveaway for $100! Plus, everyone that does the full 7 days will also get a code for the Alex Hormozi $100M Money Model book (shipping excluded), because I believe Matthew’s money model is something everyone here could implement. (Whether or not you stay in the community.)

Gained 68 Days Back & Improved My Skool Strategy
In 14 days I cut 4.5 hours a day of screen time. 😳 That equals 68 days a year of freedom back. 🎉 I did the math to see how much this meant I gained back vs losing by taking those hours x my hourly rate... let me ask you this: How much is your time worth an hour? How much are you losing daily? For me, it was a LOT! What stood out to me was not just my personal results, but how this challenge activated people. A healthy 7 day free trial gets members moving right away, and the way Matthew set up the longer challenge kept them posting, checking in, and staying consistent. It showed me how the right structure can carry people far beyond the free trial. After the trial is over, the weekly giveaways kick in. Every check in counts as an entry, which means daily engagement is built into the design. It is simple, but it works, and it is something I plan to adapt for my own upcoming community. In about 12 hours we are going to have a live call to go over it with Matthew and hear his mission with his community. 🔴 Creating A 7 Day Free Trial | Monday, September 15 at 11am CST (Zoom link has been added!) @Matthew Thompson will share how he set this up, why the 7 day free trial works, and how you can use the same structure to boost activation and retention inside your own Skool community. You will see how to turn a 7 day free trial into 90 day and beyond success by transforming lives before anyone pays and fueling long term community growth. 🚀 This is the type of strategy you can study and model for your own community, while also benefiting from it as you participate. Who is coming to the call?

@Jenna Ostrye Thanks! You are a rockstar! 💎
How Many Communities Are You In?
Being considered a Skool "Power User", I'm in a lot of communities.. But I don't see that as a bad thing. One of the signs that someone is going to stick around on the platform is when they get plugged in and are a part of several communities! There are a mix of people in here.. some OGs, some who have been around a bit, & some brand new. I want to know how many communities you're in and what makes you join and stay in a community? Be as specific as you want to be :) This will be helpful for those who are wanting and working on creating a community worth joining and investing time to really become a member. 🫶

I am in 8, I think I will cap it for the time being so I can give my best to these before joining more. I hate being passive in communities. I am all in or not at all.
