🚀BIG WINS: 3 new Affiliates on board, more to come
Soo just wanted to share some insights and motivation to reach out to potential affiliates: So first of my group is about FPV Drone flying and I offer 50% commission. The good thing in my niche is, that people get questions all the time about fpv drone flying from their audience and also have a pretty hard time monetising their IG reach. So affiliate problem basically solves two problems in one. And therefore it's insanely easy to get potential affiliates onto a zoom call, show my skool to them and the cool thing is that with the 50% commission they quickly realise that this is an insanely good and fair deal, as they are literally making more money than I do (with even less time/work needed on top). So for now I have 100% YES from: - One creator with 112k followers on IG - another one with 50k - another one with 16k - another one with again 15k Did Zooms already with some potential creators, but they are thinking about it currently (so like 50/50 chance for a yes): - creator with 70k - worldwide biggest creator in my niche with a total of 5 Mio+ followers - Youtuber with around 100k+ subs and 20k on IG Soon having more Zooms with: - another drone training program with 20k on iG - a 110k IG creator - more to follow as I got a pretty big list of more potential creators Also wanna share the outcome and right now we haven't got a single affiliate sign up, but thats fully my fault, as I haven't released my Affiliate mini course yet, where I show them some of the best practices in promoting it, so they are all waiting for that right now. Hope that kind of motivates you to take action and use that big chance right now! And maybe one mindset shift I took was: Build an awesome community first and the money will follow after that. (with affiliates it took me a few days to decide, whether I wanna do 30/40 or 50% of commission and if I think about being an affiliate, I would be just so more hyped, when I get 50% commission as like 40 or 30, so thats what I did, trying to offer them an awesome affiliate side hustle as well :D

Naming our upcoming course! (VOTE BELOW 🫵)
I jumped on a call with @Daniel Fuchs yesterday who was kind enough to give us feedback on the community after a year on Skool. It was incredibly valuable, and you will start to see a lot of changes in the upcoming weeks. We're working on improving the About Page, engagement, and especially the classroom which brings me to my question: ⬇️ WHICH COURSE SOUNDS MORE COMPELLING TO YOU? (NB -The most voted one will become the course name)

What about "Affiliate Fastlane"?

@Victor Moen If you enter the potential titles in quotation marks in the Google search, only those results are displayed/counted in which the two words appear exactly in this constellation in the search result. Here you can see how often the individual titles are/have already been used in some context (screenshots): Affiliate Formula: 34.100 Affiliate Blueprint: 28,100 Affiliate Masterclass: 13,000 Affiliate Launchpad: 1,720 𝘈𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘍𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘦: 10 (Small side note for @Chuck Ellis: Numbers don't lie - your favorite “Affiliate Formula” is actually the most “worn out” term.) So if you want to choose a title that is as unique as possible, these results will give you a good indication. Hopefully everyone in this community knows the book “The Millionaire Fastlane” by MJ DeMarco. That would be the first association that the title “(The) Affiliate Fastlane” would trigger. Quite impactful, isn't it?

Thanks for sharing, mate :)
Are You Going to Change Your Price?
Some charge $29. Others charge $99. But are community prices about to increase? Skool's affiliate feature is dropping soon… and it could change how most communities price themselves. Let's say you charge $59/month for your community now… but when affiliates take 40% commission per referral, you'd only keep $35.40 in profit. If you increase your price to $99/month on the other hand, you'd keep $59.40 per sale instead. Are you going to increase your community price to compensate for the affiliate cut? 👉 Some say YES – to protect profits & get more motivated affiliates 👉 Others say NO – because higher prices = fewer signups, and it's more volume at a lower price What do you think is the PERFECT price for a Skool community? And which side are you on, keep the price the same or bump it up?

Interesting thought. However, your calculation assumes 100% new members through affiliates. In practice, this rate will be between 50% and 80%. This means that the upward price adjustment would not have to be quite as high to “compensate” for the loss. Apart from this, member acquisition naturally always incurs costs. The difference to paid advertisements, however, is that the MRR is permanently reduced in the case of affiliate payouts. This should be factored in somehow. On the other hand, there is the option of gaining members that you would otherwise simply not get. In a way, I think this makes it the ideal complement to organic traffic and paid advertising.
