Hi everyone!
I'm Emma, the owner of Fink Tank Consulting, and I'm excited to be here! I help wedding professionals turn their best relationships with clients and other businesses into a consistent stream of bookings through referrals. I'm working with my first two beta clients now, and I want to use email marketing as my primary marketing channel! I'm from the Detroit area of Michigan, where I live with my fiance and our two cats. Excited to make some connections with the other ladies here!

@Kylie Kelly I was looking for a niche, and I knew I wanted to help smaller local businesses because they often need help that aligns with my skills (I spent 8 years in corporate in user experience and process optimization roles). But then on Valentine’s Day this year, I got engaged, and when I joined wedding groups to start planning, I noticed that for every post of a bride asking for recommendations, there were dozens of comments from vendors offering their services. I knew there was a better way to get consistent clients than begging in Facebook groups all day, so I created one :)

@Colie James East Lansing, eh? I have a feeling you went to my school’s little brother 😜 but both of my parents went to State, so we’re okay! I’m in a suburb for sure, closer to Ann Arbor than Detroit, really. Detroit is just more well-known to non-Michiganders 😊
What Tools Are We Using?
Hi all! I’m just getting started with my business, so I’m wondering what tools we’re using for things like email marketing, product hosting, website building, calendar scheduling, etc.. I’ve been trying out HighLevel for a while, but honestly, it’s a lot, and I’m not sure if I’m the biggest fan of some of the features. I would love tool recommendations from the community!

@Kylie Kelly Thank you for your insight! I was considering a lot of these tools already. I’m definitely keeping it simple to start! I also have Zoom and Loom for working with clients, but I think Kit, TidyCal, Showit, Thrivecart, and Canva will be fine for now. 😊

@Kylie Kelly I do love a good perk 👀
Shared my lead magnet today!
I just got my first subscriber from my lead magnet! 🎉 Being in this community has encouraged me to stop overthinking and start taking action. Excited to keep building. 😊

Starting From Zero - Best Growth Strategies?
Hi all! I’m really enjoying seeing all of the different content and growth methods here. But since I’m starting my list from the ground up, along with my business, a lot of the opportunities feel above my level right now. How did you start growing your list when you were first starting out? What strategies do you wish you would have done sooner?

@Brenda Rigney That's fair! I'm excited to participate in bundles and summits and stuff! I'm just worried that I won't be a good fit because I'm starting from zero. I'm also looking to avoid social media, so that's why the bundles and summits are the most attractive option right now.

@Eliza Wang That is a perfect analogy! That’s what it feels like seeing these 250 people list requirements when I’m just starting 😭
📧 One of the biggest email list growth myths?
That you need to create more content. More posts. More reels. More emails. More everything. But some of the fastest list growth I've experienced came from getting in front of other people's audiences through collaborations. Bundle events are one of my favorite examples. Instead of spending months trying to attract subscribers one at a time, multiple business owners come together, share audiences, and create a win-win opportunity for everyone involved. The result? ✨ More visibility ✨ More email subscribers ✨ More relationships ✨ More opportunities Many contributors see 100–300+ new subscribers from a single event. That's exactly why I'm hosting the Audience Growth Society this August. If growing your email list is a priority this year, and you'd love to get your offer in front of new audiences, applications are now open. And before you count yourself out... You do NOT need a huge audience. You do NOT need a large email list. You do NOT need to be a "big name." You just need something valuable to share and a willingness to participate. 👉 Apply here:https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vJ1VW6NxWaM_ioOWKMZt6t5y19tf_5-pa82PjGAtRGU/edit?usp=sharing Question for you: What's been your BEST source of email subscribers so far? 📧

I love the look of this! My niche is helping wedding service providers get more referrals using their existing client and business relationships. It's not for online entrepreneurs, really, and I'm brand new (no email list, no product officially), so would this still be something I could contribute to? I would love to create a product for it, I just don't have one ready at this very moment.

Ope, I just read the requirements on the doc. I'll be sitting this one out then, but I'd love to be considered for future bundles!
