Each week, I invite you to share your biggest win. This isn't about the scoreline, but rather what aspects of your goalkeeping you improved or what new product you got to enhance your game. Additionally, can you name three things you are grateful for? These don't have to be goalkeeper-related. The reason I do this is simple: everyone has tough weeks. Reflecting on and writing down your recent wins and what you're grateful for is a PROVEN way to realise that life is pretty great and you're a very lucky person. Guys, first of all, I apologise for being slow with the glove competitions lately. Members who have been here a while will know I used to run at least 2 goalkeeper glove competitions every month. Sadly, I stopped because nearly every competition had one or two people trying to abuse it, and if I’m honest, I got cheesed off with it. Also, when someone won gloves, the only thing I asked was for a photo wearing their J4K gloves. This was simply so members could see the competitions were genuine and that I was actually giving away free gloves. Unfortunately, only around 1 in 3 winners sent a photo, even after promising they would. again disheartening how some people are, hence why i stopped. I know the vast majority of this community are genuine, but because people are now joining from all over the world, we are sadly going to get one or two, who are not like the rest of us. HOWEVER... I genuinely want the competitions back. I believe they engage younger goalkeepers, educate them and help them improve. So lets try again. So this is the new weekly competition: (Coming Soon) Upload a VIDEO — not a photo — to your social media. Tag J4K, and then also share the video link inside the new SHARE Discussion Category above. Please make sure you post the link in the SHARE above, because sometimes my team can miss social media tags. Every week, my team will choose the best video based on: - Quality of content - Length of video — around 1 minute is ideal - How clearly J4K goalkeeper gloves or gear are featured or mentioned The winner will receive FREE J4K goalkeeper gloves. IMPORTANT: Once this competition starts, anyone trying to abuse this competition, pester my team to pick them to win or ruin it for genuine goalkeepers will be removed from the competition and the community. Most goalkeepers hide their weaknesses. And most goalkeeper coaches never talk about them in a positive way. When a keeper gets found out on crosses, distribution or 1v1s, the usual reaction is: - Pretend it isn’t there - Avoid training it - Make excuses: “the defender should’ve cleared it”, “the pitch was bad”, “I’m just not a kicker” - That’s why most keepers stay the same keeper year after year. The best goalkeepers do the opposite. They look straight at their weaknesses. They own them. Then they go to work on them. Because they know something most keepers don’t: 👉 Every weakness you improve makes you a better goalkeeper. Your weakness isn’t something to be embarrassed about. It’s your biggest opportunity. It’s the fastest route to your next level. So every Wednesday, we’re going to do things differently in here. Here’s your challenge. Comment below with: 1.
