Using Anthropic Subscription with Hermes
Some folks have been asking how to use Anthropic subscription instead of API. Here are the steps. 1. Open Terminal 2. Run this command - claude setup-token This will return you a long string of characters (token). 3. Run this command - hermes config set ANTHROPIC_TOKEN "your_generated_setup_token_here" 4. Run this command - hermes config set ANTHROPIC_API_KEY " " This makes sure that if you had an API key set that it is reset.

@Dmitry Shapiro Can you give me some pointers on configuring Hermes agent with Provider and Model (I have already tried asking Claude and ran the below) This is my situation Successfully installed Claude but only have Pro subscription Succesfully installed Hermes agent Tried to run hermes model Tried hermes config set model anthropic/claude-opus-4.6 I get this output hermes config set model anthropic/claude-opus-4.6 No inference provider configured. Run 'hermes model' to choose a provider and model, or set an API key (OPENROUTER_API_KEY, OPENAI_API_KEY, etc.) in ~/.hermes/.env. ⋯ 5.1s ⚕ claude-opus-4.6 │ ctx -- │ [░░░░░░░░░░] -- │ 1m │ ⏲ 0s Claude tells me I need to upgrade to Max subscription, is that right ?

I m having a play with Codex What did I learn? I didn’t know what to build, so I asked it for a very small starter project It gave examples for if I have never coded before if I have basic coding understanding I asked it to build a number guessing game. Told it to ask me questions as it is building and to stop at time limit of 3 mins It stopped and said JavaScript runtime wasn’t available 😢but later it says play the game and the HTML pages were ready 👏
