Creator Summit Production Behind the Scenes Tour!
A week or so ago I was a delegate to the first Creator Summit done by the Seventh-day Adventist World Church held at their headquarters in Silver Spring Maryland. I used to work there a long time ago and ran into a good friend and fellow community member @Karel Holness. He was gracious enough to give me and by extension all of you a tour of their production booth which was extensive. Check out the video, watch it a few times if you need to, and comment below this post with your questions, comments, jealousy (LOL), or feedback. Watch the Full Video Here There is no One-Way to get the job done so don't watch this with an eye toward what you aren't doing - this is just their way and what they've found works best given their requirements and workflow. Excited to hear your thoughts so let's engage in the comments below.

Thanks so much for sharing this tour! It was pretty cool to see, but I think I need a glossary to fully understand all the jargon and various stations😍 It would be helpful to get a bit of a "layman's" tour and a sense of the workflow to fire up all this machinery. With all the monitors, wires and gadgets, what is exactly for what? For example, what does the AJA (?) do and why is it so fickle? How much time is necessary to get things going before a production takes place? Thanks for sharing - very cool!!

@Kirk Nugent Yes, thanks!! That is exactly what I wanted to understand.💯I’ve not heard the term encoder before (even though I apparently use one with Ecamm as you highlighted 😅) so that is definitely helpful. As I watched this I’m trying to relate it to my church and my own setup realizing of course that theirs is on a Pro scale. But definitely insightful to see the parallels regardless of scale and what is required in a venue of that nature🎊 Really appreciate these types of videos💯🙏
Media Ministry Question about Youtube access
@Kirk Nugent I’ve been meaning to ask this question for a while now. What is a best practice protocol for managing login access to a church’s Youtube channel? I manage a weekly Zoom program that livestreams to my church’s YT channel. However, if I am not available to do it one Sabbath, the streaming doesn’t happen, and that is a bottleneck issue. There are others with access to the YT, but not everyone is willing to get up 7:30am every Sabbath morning to livestream. So I am looking to see if there are other scenarios that I could consider to overcome this issue.

@Kirk Nugent Thanks a lot for this breakdown! I think my church uses Streamyard. So basically to confirm, anyone with access to Streamyard will then be able to livestream to YT without having to login to YT directly? The security issue is key - how do you decide who should be the safe-keepers of the direct logins? Currently, I log into the church Zoom account then go to YT. If it were via Streamyard, then I would go from Zoom to Streamyard, then Streamyard to YT or just straight to Streamyard and access Zoom inside of Streamyard (similar Zoom like in Ecamm)?

@Kirk Nugent Thanks for the feedback💯✨ I understand the various points, now I just need to find some 7:30am volunteers😍🎊✨🙏

The Reputation Challenge
How does your audience perceive you? vs. How do you WANT to be perceived? Or maybe they are the same... Today's challenge will help you determine that. I like to say Reputation is Digital meaning we live in an era where people check your Digital Footprint first as a means to confirm your expertise, your integrity, and whether or not they want to engage with you at a deeper level. Excited to hear your results on this challenge in the comment section below. Enjoy!
