Nine days ago, my laptop decided it had had enough of this affiliate marketing nonsense and promptly crashed. I suspect it joined a witness protection programme, maybe because it knew how I sometimes shouted at ChappieGTP. In an instant, without prior warning, I simply lost access to: Creating content Making images for lead magnets Following up with people Commenting strategically Scheduling posts Pretty much everything that normally happens from my laptop! For a brief moment, I considered a dramatic career change. Seriously, I considered becoming a full-time Granny Grommet!! (The (elderly) ladies with their boogie boards who brave the waves every Wednesday morning). Its quite a thing where I live! But then I remembered something important... Success isn't built on perfect conditions. It's built on continuing anyway. So while I scurried to secure finance and purchase a new laptop, I kept showing up. I shared posts from my phone, I commented in groups when I could. I engaged with people wherever possible. I even remembered to log my daily activities (most days) on the Funnel Junkies Club. And when I couldn't do that? I watched training. I caught up on Skool lessons. I binge-watched Alex Hormozi videos. I did a lot of thinking, planning, repositioning, and back-to-the-drawing-board work. What I realised is that sometimes progress doesn't look like visible action. Sometimes progress looks like: Learning, Reflecting, Refining, Preparing for the next season. No commissions were generated by staring thoughtfully into the distance, but I suspect some valuable groundwork was laid. 😄 Thankfully, I now have a shiny new laptop and a second chance to confuse technology in entirely new ways. - I am ready turn all those ideas, plans, and half-finished scribbles into actual results. Lesson learned: When Plan A crashes, don't crash with it. Keep moving forward, even if the only thing you can do that day is learn something new.

@Craig and Elize Ellis You could reply with something like: “Wow, that laptop really said ‘I resign’ 😅. But I love how you turned a crash into a comeback. Sometimes God (and technology) forces us to slow down, learn, and reset. The important thing is you kept moving — even if it was from your phone and not your ‘witness protection’ laptop 😂. Wishing you big results with the new machine!”
Konkus of the Bonkus
You know him. You may not have met him personally, but you've definitely heard his voice. He is that stupid little village idiot who lives rent-free in the attic of your mind. He has absolutely no qualifications, no experience, no proven results, and yet somehow believes he should be consulted on every important decision. He wears a crumpled suit made entirely of self-doubt, carries a clipboard full of worst-case scenarios, and has never successfully completed a single thing in his life. Konkus of the Bonkus: The self-appointed CEO of Stinking Thinking. Konkus loves meetings. Unfortunately, they're usually held inside your own head. His hobbies include: • Turning molehills into mountain ranges. • Convincing people they're not ready • Replaying embarrassing moments from 1997 at 2 a.m. • Applying for jobs as an expert in things that haven't happened yet. Konkus is the only person who can watch you make progress and immediately ask: "Yes, but what if it all goes horribly wrong?" He believes every opportunity is a trap, every challenge is a disaster, and every success is probably a clerical error. On last night's call Eugene talked about "What if this fails / does not work". It made me think of Konkus. The strange thing is... Most of us never question him. We simply assume he knows what he's talking about. But let's be honest. If Konkus actually knew how to build a business, create opportunities, or change lives... he'd probably have better things to do than sit around all day inventing worst-case scenarios. The truth? Your mind is like fertile soil. Whatever you plant grows. You don't become what happens to you. You become what you repeatedly think and believe. The people who succeed aren't the people who never hear Konkus. They're the people who stop giving him voting rights. So, the next time Konkus of the Bonkus shows up with his tatty little clipboard and his list of reasons why it won't work... Smile politely. Offer him a cup of tea. Put some poison in there if you want 🤣They say Success Syrup works well. It apparently causes severe discomfort in chronic pessimists.

@Craig and Elize Ellis I know Konkus very well🤣This really resonated with me. Fear and self-doubt can be loud, but action speaks louder. Every small step forward is proof that Konkus doesn't get to make the decisions. 💪✨

My five cents
I am an uncomfortable sleeper - mostly with an old ouma- dog with a pink chunky-wool jersey at my feet and a fluffball against my back - no! not my husband! - my "pension-reducing laatlammetjie" of a fur child!. And in those staring-at-the-ceiling,-listen-to-my-loves-breathing-moments, I think... therefore I am? Anyway, one of my thinks was this: Somewhere along the way, many of us became experts at being “acceptable.” Responsible. Sensible. Predictable. Useful. And then one day we join a community like Funnel Junkies… and suddenly something uncomfortable happens: We start remembering parts of ourselves that we packed away years ago. The creative part. The brave part. The curious part. The part that still secretly believes that life could become more than survival and routine. I’m not talking about becoming louder, flashier, or pretending to be some internet guru standing next to a rented Lamborghini, with flashy sunglasses - nogal!. 😅 I mean becoming more YOU. More honest. More expressive. More willing to take up space. More willing to share your ideas, your wisdom, your humour, your weird little perspectives that make people stop and think: “Wait… I needed to hear that.” Because building something online is not only about income. Sometimes it’s about identity. It’s about discovering that we are never “too old,” “too late,” “too quiet,” or “not technical enough.” We were just buried under years of conditioning that taught us to stay small and sensible. And perhaps the most beautiful thing about this journey is that while we’re building offers, pages, systems, and skills… We’re also quietly building ourselves!. A version of us that trusts our own voice again. And honestly? That version of you was probably there all along… waiting patiently under the dust and admin. ☕✨ Look yourself in the mirror today and say "Hello, your gorgeous beast!" 🤩😍🤩

@Craig and Elize Ellis This is so beautifully said! ✨ Sometimes we join for the business opportunity, but along the way we rediscover ourselves — our voice, confidence, creativity, and courage💪. I love the reminder that we don’t need to become someone else to succeed, just more of who we truly are. 💛
What If It Doesn’t Work? (I spent the last 2 hours writing this, hope you enjoy)
I was on a call this week and something happened that stayed with me longer than I expected. We were talking about the next stage of my business. Not a small tweak. Not a little side idea. The real next stage. The bigger move. The thing that requires more responsibility, more pressure, more moving parts, and probably a lot more moments where I’ll have to figure things out while I’m already in motion. I was explaining it the way I see it in my head. The direction. The opportunity. The machine I want to build. The version of the business that doesn’t just make money, but compounds. The version that can scale without depending on me doing every little thing forever. And then the person paused and asked me a very normal question. “What if it doesn’t work?” I remember sitting there for a second, because the question almost felt like it came from a different world. Not because it was a bad question. It’s probably the question most people would ask. It’s the responsible question. It’s the safe question. It’s the question people ask before they start posting, before they launch the funnel, before they send the message, before they make the offer, before they commit to something that might make them look stupid if it doesn’t land. But the strange thing was this. That thought had never crossed my mind. Not once. And I don’t mean that in a motivational speaker way, like I believe everything I touch turns to gold. That’s definitely not true. I’ve had things flop. I’ve had ideas I thought were amazing, and the market just looked at them and said nothing. I’ve had ads burn money. I’ve had funnels that looked perfect in my head and then did absolutely nothing in real life. I’ve had content that I thought would hit hard and then it got ignored like I posted it into an empty room. So it’s not that I don’t believe things can fail. I know they can. I think the difference is that I don’t see failure as the conclusion anymore. I see it as one of the rooms you have to walk through before you get to the room where things start making sense.

This was powerful! 🔥 Sometimes we think silence means failure, yet it’s actually part of the process. Every “failed” version is teaching, shaping, and preparing us for the version that finally works. The key is to keep showing up, keep learning, and keep adjusting. Success belongs to the ones who refuse to quit. Thanks Eugene💪🚀
