Living Like We’re Chosen 🕊️
I’ve been sitting with 1 Peter, where he calls us “elect exiles, chosen according to the foreknowledge of God.” It’s such a beautiful truth, but sometimes…it’s really hard to believe. Why? Because we know our own flaws. We compare ourselves. We wonder if God really sees us. We’re trained to think love has to be earned; so being chosen before we did anything to deserve it can feel too good to be true. But when we actually believe it, it changes the way we live. 🤎 We rest instead of strive. When the homeschool day derails or the house is a mess, we don’t spiral into “I’m failing.” We remember: God already delights in me. My worth isn’t measured by productivity. 🤎 We live with security, not fear. When a text goes unanswered, or someone doesn’t include us, we don’t sink into insecurity. Our value isn’t tied to human approval, it’s anchored in God’s choosing. 🤎 We walk with courage. Even when we feel like outsiders; at family gatherings, in conversations, or in culture, we can live faithfully and differently, because we were chosen to be set apart. 🤎 We overflow with gratitude. Even in small things like folding laundry, we can pause and thank God: “You’ve entrusted me with these lives, this work.” Gratitude turns duty into worship. 🤎 We treat others as chosen too. Instead of competing or comparing, we extend kindness. That mom at the playground, or the neighbor who seems distant; God’s heart is big enough for them too. Living as chosen doesn’t mean life gets easier. But it means our lens shifts. Instead of striving, fearing, hiding, or comparing, we live from a place of security, gratitude, and love. Where do you find it hardest to believe you’re chosen? How might your day look different if you lived from that truth?

What’s Your Favorite Go-To Recipe?
Hi ladies! I think every homemaker has a recipe they find themselves making again and again, the one that always feels comforting and reliable. What’s your favorite go-to recipe? It could be something simple, cozy, or a meal your family always requests. Let’s share some inspiration with each other!

Teaching our Children
Hi friends! Does anyone have any advice/tips on how to teach your kids in the way of the Lord? What are some ways you teach your children? I have a 4 year old and a 6 month old.

I absolutely love this! It’s something I try to be intentional about every single day. I really believe it all starts in the home; talking about God, reading my Bible in front of the kids, listening to worship music together, and going to church as a family. Right now, my girls are at the age where we’re focusing on obeying, kindness, patience, and self-control. I like to tie these traits in with stories from their children’s Bible, which makes it more relatable for them. We also use a Bible study curriculum from Not Consumed. We have their Obey study, but they offer so many great options. One thing I really love is that the curriculum is divided by age level, so we can study the same topic as a family, but each child’s work is designed for their stage of learning. I’ll share the link in case anyone wants to check it out! https://store.notconsumed.com/products/bible-study-on-obedience?srsltid=AfmBOopAqYDEzC2YX0gcLy_aY63Nwm33Yh8Npq7vtjQqGN87VEnfI31K
