Pftssss Challenge!
Hey fellow boochy brewers~ howโ€™s your pftsssss test? Drop a pic or video and pls include the flavour you popped! This is one of our family favourites โ˜€๏ธ Sunshine ~ mango apple pineapple. I love that this pftssss is super bubbly but not out of control. Chef tip: To keep control and avoid a mess, we use a towel to open and donโ€™t shake or swirl and we always have a cup ready to pour the first 20% then the bottle is relaxed, no matter how bubbly. Fun fact: years ago we had a bunch of our boochy products tested including the CO2 levels. We had to stop testing the carbonation because we were close to breaking the expensive machine as it was off the charts comparing to cider and beer! Your turn, and if ur not brewing yet I hope this challenge inspires you! Booch-eers!

I can imagine that pineapple and mango influence the carbonation of the kombucha drink. In my experience, water kefir is even more fizzy if you use pineapple in the recipes.

@Kristin Gyurkovits I'm not so sure, still experimenting

@Tyler Gyurkovits Thank you for the warm welcome, Tyler! And yes โ€“ there's always fruit leather, crackers and popsicles to snack on around here.

@Kristin Gyurkovits Thank you so much for the kind words and the warm welcome. ๐Ÿ™ We don't offer retreats or workshops yet โ€“ right now it's just a small, quiet life of tending, harvesting, and transforming. But your question plants a seed for the future. Maybe someday. I love what you said about eating the colors of the rainbow. That's exactly how we live โ€“ mango yellow, papaya orange, hibiscus red, moringa green. And yes, it's a daily blessing. But a small garden with intention can hold just as much magic as a food forest. You're already on the path. ๐ŸŒˆ My favorite kombuchas are sage-lemongrass-ginger or hibiscus-roselle-grapefruit. For water kefir, I love a second fermentation with hibiscus and passion fruit. Thank you for seeing the energy behind what we do. Glad to be here with you. ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŒฑ
