We have a couple of drafts we’ve been working on. But trying to pace ourselves a bit. Just finished up one but didn’t really do a proper launch as we were traveling right around the time it was finished. But always torn because there are so many stories we want to tell and so many places to go with our pup Nola. 😁

Email Lists and Newsletters
Hey Y’all! (Sorry, I’ve been in Louisiana 6 years now and it’s having an effect! Lol) For the last few years we’ve made a point to really focus on the development and production of our books. We still have several more ideas we want to finish up. However, we are hoping to do a better job marketing our books and connecting with our readers. Do any of you have experience with the various email list services out there? Mailchimp and Constant Contact are the highest profile services, but they are pricey. We’re looking for free! 😂 I found KIT and a couple of others that will allow you to email a large number of contacts for free. But I am curious what some of you may be doing. Are you using a service like this? Are you using email at all? What are you writing to them about? How are you driving sales of your book in general? Looking forward to your insights! Happy to share as well.

@Andy Wheeler thanks Andy! We have FB and IG accounts. We also set up a free webpage with Square but it’s pretty limited and we have to fulfill those orders. How did you build your database?

Our series started by telling the true story of how we got our pup Nola. She seemed to be affected by her early life more than we realized when we had to leave her behind for a family trip. We decided we could encourage families to adopt-not-shop and remind them there is always hope.
