One of the greatest strengths of the Independent Authors Guild is the knowledge, experience, and creativity already inside this community. I want to create more opportunities for us to learn from one another—and also give you a clear, designated space to share the books you have worked so hard to create. I’ve added three new community days to the Guild calendar: Authors Helping Authors—Marketing Edition: A day to share your best book-marketing ideas, strategies, resources, experiments, and lessons learned. You do not have to be a marketing expert. Sometimes one simple idea can be exactly what another author needs. Authors Helping Authors—Publishing Edition: A place to share publishing tips that could save another author time, money, frustration, or a few dramatic conversations with KDP. Editing, formatting, covers, ISBNs, distribution, production—anything connected to creating a professional book is welcome. Book Showcase: A designated day to proudly introduce your books to the Guild! Share your cover, description, genre, purchase link, and a little about what inspired you to write it. This will be your opportunity to promote your work while also discovering and supporting books written by other Guild members. You’ll find all three days on the Guild calendar. I’m excited to see what you share—and to continue building a community where independent authors can learn from one another, support one another, and celebrate the books we are bringing into the world.
