Sigh... Rules change
Thanks to two warnings from a new user - Whose initials *might* be Sandra Rose I've raised the floor on Direct MEssaging to level 3. Glad to have you if you need help or want to help others here, and if your offer is of legitimate value to our users then cool post it for all. But please do not directly contact folks with offers. You must engage and move to level 3 to send DM's now.

@Stacey Brooks If it's the same messages, then it's probably a bot with a stolen pfp and name.
So I have an idea.....
So I had an Idea....Everybody should duck and cover when they hear me say things like that. the other one is: So I have a thought.... As a way to do an interactive teaching. I'm putting together a new class, I'm going to pre-record it and I already have the full curriculum written up for "How t write, edit, publish and market a Short Story in Ten days". Kinda like the race car version of BIAM. We'll run it two weeks in June after BIAM ends. And it is designed to only take an hour or so a day M-F for two weeks, so catch-up on the weekends. I'll supplement this with daily Q&A and follow-up I'm going to drip feed this with a class release a day, Video and text using our skillrooms for Brainstorm, the short-story-studio, the merchandising team skillroom and the marketing team skillroom. The end will be a complete and published short story with marketing and experience to repeat this process over and over again. We might even consider publishing an anthology of them if folks are interested, but that's a later discussion. So the questions are: Do we start Monday June 1 or Tuesday June 8 (my birthday!) What time a day is best for you for a live video call. I'm NOT available 8AM-5PM Eastern US during the week except through Skool or Discord. please ander in the chat below and I'll go with the consensus on this one. I'll also have a discord channel up for ongoing support at https://discord.gg/dwsbsDZaBk
So I have an idea.....

How long will the Q&A follow up last? (1 hour rapid fire vs. 4 hour marathon) Will they also be recorded? (Or at least a documentation of the answers available) Will people submit their questions before the scheduled follow up so you have a chance to organize them and answer them succinctly? (Could be set up as a ticket channel in discord or a marshmallow-qa to corral them) Will you answer the same questions each day or refer the querent to a prior day’s response? (Timestamps would help with referring back) When the short story sprint is completed will VODs for everything be available openly, paywalled to a sub level, or hidden until the next round? If you start on June 1 you’ll have the BIAM momentum from those participating in it. If you start on your birthday it gives BIAM people a small breather to switch gears to learning/trying another writing system. And you’ll have cake πŸŽ‚ As for time, I suggest you do what works best for you. E.g. 7pm EST if it gives you enough time to rest a little and eat dinner before diving into the ball pit with us.

WPC PASSWORD RESET HAS A BUG!!
It's going to take me a bit tonight to resolve it as it requires pulling in a back side mail hosting vendor to integrate. Not hard or an issue really but the administrivia will take more bandwidth than I have this afternoon. Until then if you have a password I *just* built a password reset tool for me on the backside that lets me reset you password and sent a 14 character string of randomness to login with and then you can change that to a new real password for yourself in the Settings option under your user id . I cannot see what your password was. They are intentionally encrypted for several different safety reasons.

Okay gang I need some branding help here (notice my spiffy new avatar? - I'm one of the Personas now) Sorry for the silliness but there is some seriousness behind it. This is the stats page and map I see on the backside. I've done competitive analysis for everyone I could find and we are already ahead of the curve for features. So its time to go big. I saw coauthor.ai from a video on Jason's room (that we all commented on .. hehe) and its stupid expensive I skimmed through his walkthrough and there was very little from his app I would ven want to borrow for ours. I do not think he understands his user market or what he has, and the big advertisement it create a book in an hour. He's another of the crew that " Believes writing is an art. publishing is a business". To some degree they are not wrong, but bludgeoning your audience with low quality crap, that may not make as much as it cost for the software to create it is just unconscionable! We neeed a youtube channel and a couple of other scoail media presences so my question is for branding purposes is the "Professional Writing System" where this all began or is it "WordCrafter Pro"? I'm leaning to WordCrafter Pro. I do not have much of a following now except on Linkedin, Facebook , and Pinterest. My current youtibe channel has one snowpocalyspe video and my Instagram might have 8 pictures. Sorry these get long and rambling but I really do care about your feedback and feelings with this project. Looking to the future... I'll be very clear here. I always want this software to be affordable for as many as want to use it, but there are back end expenses to keep it running and I've become accustomed to the habit of eating regularly along with my wonderful wife and the three locusts in the house that are our son's. A couple features we have will probably end up with an additional cost someday, but anyone already using WCP will not. I would love to get enough paying users to the Skool or WCP, or buyers and users of the whole set or PWS skills tha t I can lower the prices and not raise them. Image storage is our biggest use case right now. I've got a couple of ideas for ways of making this more efficient. The other is some of the higher order skills i'm already working on with the marketing and merch teams at an addition cost for new folks after that wall is hit. No one reading this in April of 2026 will ever have to worry about a higher cost. The Founders from this last weekend will NEVER have a cost for WCP or anything else that gets added to it. But I have to spread the word and get more paying users. I offered free-for-life to get folks I knew would use, try to break it, see what it can do and ask for some testimonials in a week or two.

If the channel is solely for marketing and building a community for WordCrafter Pro users/customers then definitely name it WordCrafter Pro, because the PWS is what’s inside it ☺️
