@Amelia Knight Pinkston It is very possible that some/many feel defeated and find it hard to live up to my expectations. Heck, I find it hard to live up to my expectations. I am aware of my part ( at least in part) in this situation. In the past, I have attempted counseling. The first two visits? - extremely helpful. The third did not occur for the counselor ended the second visit with "Excellent, let's plan for your next visit to be in 2 weeks. Please stop at reception to schedule it." I did so and was told that the next available appointment would be in 6 weeks. I kindly stated the counselor requested 2 weeks. Again told first available in 6wks. Understand, we aren't always able to meet our clients' expectations either. However, I have never requested a follow-up from a client within a time frame that I would not be able to meet.
@Amelia Knight Pinkston I watched your talk last night. You did an excellent job..... the insight/education, the offering real life options for self improvement / relief. And yes, I do believe I am the "poster child" for the 4Fs you discussed. Last night I simply took photos of your slides. Tonight I plan to make a simple outline of the slide information then watch your presentation again. Next to develop an action plan for myself to follow. I can not thank you enough. And if you like, I will keep you posted.
