I have been asking ChatGPT some reselling questions lately and one of the things it suggested surprised me. It said if you sell similar from an older item to wait 24 hours until relisting it because if you sell similar and relist it immediately it can somehow be attached to the older listing even though it has a new item number. I know this is the case if you "relist" but I thought it was different for "sell similar." Has anyone else come across this suggestion or know if it has any validity?
@Jerry Wilson yes I alter the price as well and I am doing 5 a day refresh also. Do the hashtags do anything on ebay or is it more for the other platforms?
Does anyone know when the holiday slow down is usually over ?? : ) My goodness, summer slow down, holiday slow down (people shopping in store), after holiday slow down... lol...mountains after mountains : )
Its been slow for me too! I just have to look at the time of year (after the holidays). But also what is going on in the world right now. Prices of everything are skyrocketing. People don't have the discretionary income to spend on wants when they don't even have enough money to spend on needs. That being said I know it will pass and sales will climb eventually. I just have to keep trucking along. Good luck to you!
A couple days ago the Sold listings section on my ebay disappeared. Instead of separating sold listings vs completed listings, ebay seems to have joined the two together. Did this change happen for everyone? And is there a way to only see solds and not ones the seller ended?
I thought i would make a separate post so this information is easily accessible to everyone and easy to refer back to. Here are three websites to report fraudulent buyers on eBay or any other online selling platforms. Don't be afraid to report buyers if they are committing mail fraud! 1. www.ftc.gov (federal trade commission) 2. www.ic3.gov (internet crime complaint center) 3. www.uspis.gov/report (United States postal inspection service)
Sending out a PSA to everyone block this buyer. She has started an INAD and trying to send me back a completely different blazer than the one she purchased. Her username is jeader18 (2) and she lives in Woodburn Oregon. The first picture is the blazer I sent her, a legitimate vintage Pendleton, and the second picture is the one she is trying to send back. I know after 3 years of reselling it shouldn't bother me but I hate when people pull this kind of stuff and I have to eat the costs while nothing happens to the scammers.
@Red West I never talked to a rep directly but I did report the buyer to ebay immediately after I opened the package. I also did an IC3 report and a report on the United States postal inspection service. I refunded 50% of the money back to the buyer bc I didn't want to deal with ebay returns and possibly ebay siding with the buyer and me loosing all the money. I was going to file a police report also but it said it was only necessary if you were still building your case and you needed a case number to show ebay
