What are your favorite forms/pieces?
I was talking with JP (Not me lol) about sharing more of our favorite pottery pieces and I wanted to start with a few forms I have made that I love! Share yours in the comments! I’d love to see what y’all are making :) Pic 1 - I love this form and how soft and elegant it is. Pic 2 - the texture is something I’m exploring more and I do love this form crackle clear glaze! Pic 3 - porcelain cup where I added lots of movement into the piece on the wheel. One of my favorites from college! (Also that was my first ever mixed glaze on it, which I’m pretty proud of)

My favorite pieces (so far) are pretty small potatoes compared to these vases (incredible, both JPs!) but I really really like them. I also like making flower pot and saucer sets. 1. My “sunny side up” spoon rest. It makes me so happy! 2. This footed pot that my hubby and I hand built over the course of several date nights (yey for guest passes!). On the black underglaze (thanks for the workshop Kristin!) he etched the mountains because he does mountain sports, and I did the pine trees and saguaros. Miraculously, our complicated dip glazing also turned out! Amber on the bottom/feet, clear in the middle, interior and rim is starry and the the “sky” is ivory (mixed so well with the blue rim).
Welcome! Introduce yourself + share a pic of yourself 🎉
Let's get to know each other! Comment below sharing where you are from, a photo of yourself (if you want), and something you like to do for fun. 😊

I’m Elizabeth! I’m new to pottery- I was in a January kickstart class. I’m eager to learn from others because there is sooooo much I don’t know (and don’t know that I don’t know!). My background is in floral design and a hodge podge of other creative pursuits, and I’ve enjoyed learning a new art medium. I also enjoy hiking, biking and doing volunteer work with the local animal shelter and dog rescues.

@Laura Cole Id love to eventually be able to make a yarn bowl for my sisters, who are big yarn craft ladies! How is it going so far?
Any pottery questions I can answer?
Feel free to reach out here with any pottery related questions!

@JohnPaul Ryan I got off most of it with a flat head screwdriver and mallet, but it was pretty stubborn! Does the studio have any sandpaper I can use, and if not, what kind should I get to smooth it out? Thanks for the help!
